Indian Air Force AFCAT 1 Recruitment Notification 2019 : Indian Air Force has released notification to conduct the Air Force Common Admission Test for all its branches. Except for the medical and dental branches the test is conducted for the branches. Indian Air Force has announced that the exam will be conducted in the month of February and August every year.
Both male and female from the Indian Air Force can apply for attending this test. Candidates who are attending the examination should go to the official website and find more details.
Candidates should check the official notification and find all the eligibility criteria like educational qualification, age limit, selection process, application fee, exam pattern, syllabus etc. If candidates meet all the eligibility criteria they can proceed further to apply for the notification released.
AFCAT 1 Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification:
Candidates belonging to all the branches and all posts should have to possess graduation which is the expected educational qualification for the above mentioned posts.
Age Limit:
Age limit is mentioned different for different branches. Find the details below regarding the age limit.
- Flying Branch: The candidates from the flying branch must have a minimum age limit of 20 years and a maximum of 24 years i.e., candidates should be born between 2nd January 1997 and 1st January 2000. The upper age limit for the candidate with Commercial Pilot License is 26 years.
- Technical Branch: The candidate from technical branch must possess a minimum age limit of 20 years and a maximum age limit of 26 years. The candidates should be born between 2nd January 1994 and 1st January 2000.
- Aeronautical and mechanical background candidates are having different age limit which can be found in the official notification.
- Ground Duty Branch: This is a non-technical branch for which the candidate’s minimum age limit is mentioned as 20 years and maximum age limit of 26 years.

Exam Pattern:
Below is exam pattern for the AFCAT – I. Candidates should check the exam pattern before preparing for the entrance test. For attending the further test candidates should first qualify in this entrance test conducted by Indian Air Force.
- The question papers consist of the subjects like General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Verbal Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude.
- Candidates should answer all the multiple choice questions where he or she should choose one correct answer out of 4 choices given.
- The duration for the entrance test is mentioned as 2 hours for 100 MCQ type Questions.
- The complete question paper will be of 300 marks where each question will carry 1 mark.
- For each wrong answer, there is 1/3rd mark deducted

Syllabus for AFCAT has the follow subjects included in it. Every candidate attending the examination should thoroughly check the syllabus before starting the preparation.
- General Awareness: Sports, Current Affairs, Culture, Art, History, Civics, Environment, Politics, Geography, Basic Science etc are topics in General Awareness

- Reasoning & Military Aptitude: Verbal skills and Spatial Ability

Selection Process And Application Fee

Selection Process:
- Candidates applying for the post has to undergo two stages of recruitment process, viz. Written Test and SSB
- Written Test will be conducted on various subjects like Aptitude, General Intelligence, English, Reasoning etc. Paper will be of 2 hours duration, and only Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) will be asked.
- SSB interview will consist of interview process for consecutive five days viz. Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview.
- However, candidates applying for flying branch has to undergo two additional tests for getting selected viz. CPSS (Computer list Piloty Selection System) and Pilot Aptitude Battery Test (PABT)

- Click On “Candidate Login” section, and register for it if you haven’t registered before.
- Once you have logged in, read the official notification carefully before proceeding further.
- Now Click on “Apply Online” button, and fill in the details in the application form with all necessary documents uploaded.
- Remember, you have to upload your passport size photo, signature and thumb impression(scanned) for submitting the application form.
- Once you are done with all the things, you can submit the application form, and can save the preview mode of the same for further communication with the recruitment board
