AFCAT 2018
Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) has released an employment notification for the recruitment of commissioned officers in flying, and ground duty in short and permanent service commission. AFCAT is a recruitment examination organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF). The examination is held twice a year in the months of February and August, applications to which are made available in December and June respectively. AFCAT 2018 Examination can be taken by both Male and Female Candidates who have completed their Graduation. The Other Details Related To AFCAT 2018 are given below-
AFCAT 2018 Details-
Name of Post– Commissioned Officer.
Age Limit– Candidate’s age must be in between 20 to 24 years.
Educational Qualification
For Flying Branch
- Candidate must have a graduate in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or B.E/B. Tech with minimum 60% marks. OR
- Candidates must have secured 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
For Ground Duty (Technical)
- Candidates must have a graduate level degree in any discipline with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level with minimum 60% marks. OR
- A candidate must have completed 4 years graduation or integration Post graduation in Engineering/Technology OR
- A candidate must obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
For Ground Duty (Non-Technical)
Candidates must have graduation level degree any discipline with minimum 60% marks and obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).
Selection Process– The candidate will be selected on the basis of written test and Medical Exam.

- New User will have to register first
- Already registered candidates can log in with registration ID and password
- Fill all the required detail in the AFCAT 1 2018 online form
- Upload your scanned copy of passport size photograph, signature, and other required documents
- Recheck each detail in application form and submit it

AFCAT Application Form 2016, AFCAT 2/2016 Online Form, AFCAT 2016 Registration Started
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has issued a notification welcoming applications to take the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2 exam 2016. The application forms to take up the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2 are available online for download. Interested aspirants can enroll for the exam by filling the online applications available in the official site of IAF. The online form filling will start from 4th of June, 2016 and will end on 30th of June, 2016. So, candidates who are willing to appear for the AFCAT 2 exam 2016 can download apply for the exam on or before 30th of June, 2016. The AFCAT and EKT exams were scheduled to be conducted on 28th of August, 2016. IAF has released the notification inviting applications for both male and female applicants from all over the country.
Qualified candidates of APCAT exam will be given posts in flying branch, technical and ground duty branches of IAF. So, interested candidates can enroll to the exam by filling in the application forms that are available online. AFCAT Application Forms 2016
Indian Air Force (IAF) is inviting applications for mainly three posts. Each post requires a different eligibility criteria and educational qualifications. We have briefly listed the particulars about the exam in our page. Make sure to give it a read.
Every year Indian Air Force (IAF) conducts AFCAT exam twice to recruit merit and talented candidates as officers in various branches. Likewise, this year too it is going to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in various branches of IAF. Here are the details about branches and
Flying Branch
In the flying branch the candidates will be recruited as Commissioned Officers. The notification welcomes both men and women for short service commission.
Technical Branch
For technical branch, men can enroll for permanent commission and both men and women enroll for short service commission posts.
Ground Duty Branch
Only men will be recruited in permanent commission and both men and women will be recruited for short service commission.
Eligibility Criteria to take AFCAT Exam 2016
As we said earlier, the eligibility criteria vary from branch to branch.
Eligibility Criteria for Flying Branch
Educational Qualification
Three year graduation with minimum 60% aggregate and should have passed Maths and physics subjects in intermediate or B. Tech from a recognized institute with minimum 60% aggregate.
Age limit
Candidates should fall between 20 to 24 years of age as on 1st July, 2017. Up to 26 years of upper age limit for candidates who have Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA.
Minimum Height: 162.5 cms with balanced weight
Minimum Vision: 6/6 in one eye and 6/9 in other
Eligibility Criteria for Technical Branch
Educational Qualification
Four year graduation or must clear sections A and B of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks.
Age limit:
Candidate’s age should be between 20 to 26 years as on 1st July, 2017.
Minimum Height: 157.5 cms with balanced weight for men and 152 cms for women.
Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty Branch
Educational Qualification
Graduate degree of 3 years in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate or equivalent or section A&B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers be cleared or Aeronautical Society of India with minimum 60% aggregate for administration and logistics posts; B.Com with 60% aggregate for Accounts posts; MBA or MCA or MA/MS in various disciplines with minimum 60% aggregate for education posts.
Age limit:
Candidate’s age should be between 20 to 26 years as on 1st July, 2017.
Minimum Height:
For Men: 157.5 cms with balanced weight
For Women: 152 cms

How to Apply for AFCAT 2016?
- Go to the official page of IAF i.e, http://www.careerairforce.nic.in/#
- In the official page find the registration link and click on it.
- In the registration page, fill in the details and submit the form.
- A User ID and password will be sent to your email address.
- Login using the user ID and password that were sent to you to get access to the online application.
- Fill in the application form and upload your recent passport size photo, signature and thumb impression.
- Recheck the details you have entered and take a printout.
- Candidates will receive registration ID on successful completion of application.
