About Border Security Force
BSF (Border Security Force) is the primary Border guarding force in India. The BSF is one of the five Central Armed Police Forces of the Union of India. The formation of BSF is on 1st December 1965 and has its headquarters at New Delhi, India. It is the Union Government Agency under the administrative control of Ministry of Home Affairs. The Border Security Force currently stands as the world’s largest border guarding force and it has been termed as the First Wall of Defense of Indian territories. India has five central armed forces, BSF is one of them.
Education qualification of Border Security Force
Matriculation or its equivalent from a recognized Board with:
- a) 2 years experience in the relevant trade.
- b) 1-year certificate course from ITU of Vocational Institute with minimum 1-year experience in the relevant trade.
- c) 2 years Diploma from ITI in relevant trade.
Age limit of Border Security Force
Aspirants who are applying for this post should have the minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age is 23 years as on 1 August 2016.upper age limit is applicable as per the central govt norms.
Border Security Force Selection Procedure
Applicants will be shortlisted for the constable post on the basis of Physical Efficiency Test, Physical Standard Test, Verification of Documents, Trade Test, Written Test, and Medical Examination.
Border Security Force Scale of pay
The candidates who will select for this post will receive Rs 5200/- – 20200/- along with grade pay of Rs 2000/- plus other allowances.

Applicants who want to apply for BSF Constable Recruitment 2016 have to pay the Application fee through Demand Draft / Postal Order drawn in favor of the “Concerned IG / Commandant payable at bank or post office of concerned RAs/Headquarters of the state you are applying”.
