The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to conduct the Central Teaching Eligibility Test (CTET) on 5 July 2020. The CTET exam is conducted twice in a year. CTET qualified candidates can take part in the recruitment process of Government schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya & other government schools. The CTET 2020 Exam will be conducted in two phases – Paper I and Paper-II. Both the papers will be conducted on a single day in different shifts. CTET 2020 Paper I (Primary Stage) will be for the candidates who intend to teach Class I to V and CTET Paper II (Elementary Stage) will be for the candidates who intend to teach Class VI to VIII. Both Paper I and Paper II have Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The Syllabus and Exam Pattern both remains the same.

Detailed Exam Pattern And Test Structure For CTET 2016

Exam Pattern:
- CTET February 2016 examination will be conducted for Paper 1(For Primary Teachers Post), and Paper 2(For Elementary Teachers Post), and both will consist of subjects which are similar, but level of questions for both the post will be different.
- CTET 2016 written examination will be held for 2.5 hours in total, and 150 marks will be the total marks allotted for each paper.
- In total, there will be 30 Multiple Choice Questions(MCQs) which will carry one mark, and thus making the total marks as 150.
- Test Structure:
- For Paper-1:
- The subjects for Paper 1 will be: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 & 2, Mathematics and Environmental Studies.
- Marks Distribution: Child Development and Pedagogy( 30 questions 1 mark each), Language 1 & 2( 30+30=60 questions 1 mark each), Mathematics(30 questions 1 mark each), and Environmental Studies(30 questions 1 mark each).
- For Paper-2:
- The subjects for Paper 2 will be: Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1 & 2, Mathematics and Science and Social Science.
- Marks Distribution: Child Development and Pedagogy( 30 questions 1 mark each), Language 1 & 2( 30+30=60 questions 1 mark each), Mathematics and Science(60 questions 1 mark each), and Social Science(60 questions 1 mark each).
- For Paper-1:

Syllabus And Thorough Analysis For CBSE CTET 2016 Recruitment Examination
- For Paper-1:
- In Child development and pedagogy, you can expect basic questions on educational psychology of children aged 6 to 11 years
- In Language 1, you will be checked with the proficiency for that language
- In language 2 you will be checked with detailed elements of the language and other abilities.
- In Mathematics, you will be asked basic maths questions of standard levels of classes 6 to 8.
- In Environmental Science, you will be tested with basic environmental topics of pollution and damage in the nature aiming at classes of 1 to 5
- For Paper-2:
- In Child development and pedagogy, you can expect basic questions on educational psychology of children aged 6 to 11 years
- In Language 1, you will be checked with the proficiency for that language
- In language 2 you will be checked with detailed elements of the language and other abilities.
- In Mathematics and Science, you will be asked basic math and science questions of standard levels of classes 6 to 8(Remember to study topics of Maths and Science up to 10th Standard for a safer side)
- In Environmental Science, you will be tested with basic environmental topics of pollution and damage in the nature aiming at classes of 6 to 8.
- Note: Question levels in this set will be far more tough than Paper-1. So, candidates preparing for both paper 1 and paper 2 has to prepare separately for these two papers. As per our opinion, you can study the tough part so that Paper-1 becomes easy for you to attempt. Never miss to answer any question.
