How to Check Aadhaar Card Status Online/ SMS/ Email /Without Ack. Form

Visit UIDAI official web portal – https://uidai.gov.in/

In the center of the page look for- Aadhaar Online Services

The first column listed is ‘Aadhaar Enrolment’.

Click the third option that says ‘Check Aadhaar Status

The new page opens with ‘Check Aadhaar Status’.

 There is a line with a form to fill beside ‘Check if Aadhaar is generated’.

Fill in the necessary details like enrollment number, date and enter the text in the box.

Then click on ‘Check Status’ tab for the details.

Note: – If you do not know your Aadhaar enrollment number you may want to check it out on the application form acknowledgement receipt that you filled for obtaining the Aadhaar card. It would be mentioned as EID number or Enrollment ID number. It is a 14 digit temporary number alongside the date of enrollment for Aadhaar.

How to Check Aadhaar Card Status On Mobile Phone (SMS)?

For any reason if the individual person is unable to check the Aadhaar status online, then he can also check it over his/ her mobile phone.  First keep your Aadhaar card enrollment number or EID number ready. Use your mobile phone to SMS the details in this format: ‘UID STATUS <14 digit enrolment number>”’

Step 1: SMS this to 51969

Step 2: Receive your Aadhaar status information on your mobile.

In case your Aadhaar card is not generated you will receive a message to your mobile phone with the present status of your Aadhaar card. In case your Aadhaar card is generated you will receive the message with the Aadhaar card number issued.

How to check Aadhaar card status without acknowledgement form details?

There are a few people who forget or discard the acknowledgement form or do not have access to it for various reasons. For those people there is a way to check Aadhaar card status without those details. It is as simple as checking we the acknowledgement details

 From the official UIDAI official web portal, find ‘Aadhaar Services’

Click on sixth/ last option – ‘Retrieve Lost UID/EID’.

A new page opens with ‘Retrieve your Lost EID/UID’.

Select EID by clicking on it.

Fill form on right side with full name, email, mobile, and enter the text in the box.

Click ‘Send Onetime Password’ to receive it on your mobile number.

 Enter the same in ‘Enter OTP’ field & Click Verify OTP.

Finally receive your Aadhaar Enrolment Number (EID) through email / SMS on mobile.

Use the mobile / email registered while applying the Aadhaar card.
