What is teacher eligibility test
CTET is the minimum qualification to became a teacher. The exam conducted by CBSE. The ministry of Human Resource Development of India is responsible to conduct the exam. The Central Board of Secondary Education is a board of education for public and private schools it runs under the Union Government of India. TET is also known as Teacher Eligibility Test is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for get teacher job in govt schools. TET is eligible to teach for Class 1 to 8. Paper 1 is meant for class 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for 6 to 8 class.

Why CTET is the minimum qualification in teacher recruitment process
Candidates need to obtain 90 marks out of 150 marks. For reserved candidates their is a relaxation up to 5 percent. CTET percent should be 55 percent or 82.5 marks. If you get these marks then you are eligible to apply teaching posts. The test is mandatory for get teacher job in govt schools. TET is eligible to teach for Class 1 to 8. Paper 1 is meant for class 1 to 5 and Paper 2 is for 6 to 8 class.
It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in any of the schools referred to in Clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that he/she should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE.

What is the validity period of CTET certificate
CTET certificate is valid for 7 years from the date of declaration of the result. It includes for all categories. Aspirant can get a duplicate copy of Marks statement by paying 200 rupees as Demand Draft in favour of Secretary, Central Board of Secondary Education.
How many times a person can attempt for CTET Certificate
For this there is no restriction on the number of attempts. A person who had qualified in CTET can also apply and appear again for the exam to score more marks.
