2016 Current Affairs RBI inks data trade MoU with Bank of Israel
- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has marked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bank of Israel (BOI) for trade of data relating to keeping money supervision. It was marked by Parvathy V Sundaram, Chief General Manager-in-Charge, Department of Banking Supervision for the benefit of RBI and Hedva Ber, Supervisor of banks for the benefit of BOI.
- With this RBI has marked 32 such MoUs, 1 Letter for Supervisory Co-operation and 1 Statement of Co-operation (SoC). By marking such MoU/SoC with managers of different nations, RBI is trying to advance more prominent co-operation and offer supervisory data among the powers.
Indo-Indonesia Joint Training Exercise Garuda Shakti IV starts
- The fourth release of the India-Indonesia Joint Training Exercise Garuda Shakti has started at Magelang in Indonesia.
- The 13 days (till 23 March) respective activity goes for (i) Building and advancing positive relations between the Armies of India and Indonesia. (ii) Enhancing their capacities to attempt joint strategic level operations in a counter revolt environment under United Nations Charter.
India inks Raptor MoU to spare feathered creatures of prey
- India has marked ‘Raptor MoU’, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on preservation of flying creatures of prey in Africa and Eurasia.
- With this India gets to be 56th province to sign the Raptor MoU under the Convention on Conservation of Migratory Species (CMS).
- The MoU was seared Ambassador of India to the UAE Shri T.P Seetharam the Convention on Migratory Species Office in Abu Dhabi.
- Prior in December 2015, the Union Cabinet in its meeting had affirmed the proposition of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) to sign ‘Raptor MoU’.
Lok Sabha passes Enemy Property (Amendment and Validation) Bill, 2016
- Sabha has passed Enemy Property (Amendment and Validation) Bill, 2016 by voice vote to make corrections to the Enemy Property Act, 1968.
- The bill replaces the Enemy Property (Amendment and Validation) Ordinance, 2016 declared by President Pranab Mukherjee in January 2016.
Parliament passes National Waterways Bill, 2015
- The Parliament has passed National Waterways Bill, 2015 to clear decks for the change of 106 streams and rivulets crosswise over India into transport conduits.
- It was initially gone in Lok Sabha in December 2015 i.e. in the winter session and later was gone by Rajya Sabha in March 2016 i.e. in the financial backing session.
Brazil performer Nana Vasconcelos passes away
- Acclaimed Brazil performer Naná Vasconcelos passed away because of lung growth in the northeastern Brazilian city of Recife. He was 71.
- He was 8 time Grammy Award-winning Brazilian percussionist known for his wide instrumental range and significant part in free vivacious jazz and world music of the 1970s and 1980s.
