India and Tanzania sign 5 pacts
After successful bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tanzanian President John Magufuli, both the countries have signed 5 pacts in the areas of water supply system, water resource management, vocational training, small industries and visa waiver. After signing agreements, PM Modi said, India is already a substantial economic partner of Tanzania.
Indian Army Chief flies to Australia on four-day tour
Army Chief General Dalbir Singh went to Australia on a four-day tour on Monday. The visit holds a special significance in the light of enhanced military cooperation between the two countries. This tour is aimed at visiting important defence establishments of the Australian Armed Forces.
National Banana Research Centre to be set up in Bihar
The National Banana Research Centre to set up at Goraul in Vaishali district of Bihar, said Farmer’s Welfare Minister Radha Mohan. The centre will be set up soon by the government. The land for establishing this center was already allocated when Jitan Ram Manjhi was Chief Minister.
Abdul Kalam memorial will be open from July 27
The People’s President, APJ Abdul Kalam’s belongings like rudra veena, spectacles, books, some clothes and research papers will be showcased at the Kalam memorial from July 27. Delhi Tourism and Culture minister Kapil Mishra had personally visited the hometown in Rameshwaram, Tamil Nadu.

China completes Asia’s longest single cave, double track tunnel
The 643-km long single cave, double track tunnel that is being built in China has completed successfully. The high-speed train tunnel, which is designed for 250 km per hour speed trains to travel through it has completed. This tunnel will help reduce the travel speed of 16 hours from Xi’an to Chengdu to just three hours.
Kerala government allots R. 12,000 crore for anti-recession package in Budget
The Government of Kerala has announced that it will allot Rs. 12,000 crore on anti-recession package to overcome the financial crisis the state is facing due to dwindling remittances from its citizens in the Gulf. Of the total budget, Rs. 2,500 crore is expected to be invested during the current fiscal year.

Blow for Indian IT firms, after US implements ‘anti-H-1B Visa Bill’
Few lawmakers in US have introduced a bill in House of Representatives, which if passed by the Congress would prevent Indian companies from hiring IT professionals on H-1B and L1 work visas. Many Indian IT companies use the service and they are dependent on H-1B an L1 visas in the US. If such a bill is passed by Congress of US, then it would literally blow the Indian IT firms.
