Cisco to set up 15 networking academies in Jharkhand GK

US-based hardware networking giant Cisco and the government of Jharkhand has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to increase the IT skills of students of Engineering Colleges and Polytechnics across the state.  Under this new MoU, Cisco will set up to 15 networking academies in the state that will train up to 6000 students by 2020.

Haryana to set up new Sewage Treatment Plant

Haryana government has decided to set up a new Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and upgrade five in-use ones at a cost of about Rs. 28.74 crore during the current financial year to clean the Yamuna river.

Cabinet approves establishment of AIIMS at Gorakhpur

The Cabinet approved the establishment of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY).  The cost of the project is estimated to be Rs. 1,011 crore.

FCI launched National Electoral Roll Purification

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the launch of National Electoral Roll Purification (NERP) 2016 programme across the country.  The programme was launched with an aim to improve the health of Electoral Rolls (ERs) and to minimize the polling stations around the country.  The main intension of introducing purification program is to leave no voter behind from voting for the next elections.

Union cabinet approves incorporation of Sagarmala Development Company

The Union Cabinet has approved the incorporation of Sagarmala Development Company (SDC) under the Companies act, 2013.  SDC will be developed with an initial Authorized share capital of 1000 crore rupees and a subscribed share capital of 90 crore rupees.
