Axis Bank launches innovation lab with ‘Thought Facotry’ initiative
The 3rd largest private bank of India, Axis Bank Limited has launched innovation lab for investing in companies that would benefit their business. It said that it would assign good fund for the investment in new companies. The new innovation lab was launched in 10,000 sq ft area in Benguluru. The lab has an in-house innovation team and this initiative is named as ‘Thought Factory’.
PM Modi’s voice will be tele casted through radio program “Mann ki baat’ in Bangladesh
In a radio program named ‘Mann ki baat’, which will be telecasted in the radio channel ‘Maitree’, PM voice will travel all the way down to the international level and will reach the crowds in Bangladesh. PM Modi will address issues like social, economic, and political which will be telecasted in live to Bangladeshi’s. The program will be translated to Bengali language and will be telecasted in Bangladesh.
Paralympic committee receives recognition from Sports Ministry of India
The sports ministry has granted its recognition to the Paralympic committee of India (PCI). Para-athletes who have qualified to take part in Rio-Paralympics this year were boosted with this recognition from the sports ministry.
President Pranab Mukherjee presents BC Roy National Awards for 2008, 2009 & 2010
At Rashtrapati Bhavan, President of India Pranab Mukherjee has presented Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Award national awards for 2008, 2009 and 2010. The awards were presented observing the National Doctors’ Day that is held on July 1 to pay honour and tribute to India’s most famous physician Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy.
Radha Mohan Singh launches a web-based app CMRS
The Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minster, Shri Radha Mohan Singh has launched web-based app for better crop and nutrient management named Crop Manager for Rice-Based Systems (CMRS). The app was released at a Bihar farmer’s event that was organized at ICAR-RCER in Patna.
RITES supplies 60 broad gauge passenger coaches to Bangladesh Railway
PSU under Rail Ministry, Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES) has supplied 60 broad gauge passenger coaches (LHB type) to Bangladesh Railway (BR) as per the contract agreement of 120 coaches. Two train sets with 12 coaches each with 2 AC chair car, 2 first AC sleeper car, 6 non-AC chair car and 2 power car were supplied.
RIL and SBI signed a shareholder agreement for payments bank JV
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) and State Bank of India (SBI) have signed a shareholder agreement to setup payments bank. With this agreement, Reliance industries will become the promoter with a 70% equity contribution in the payments bank and SBI as joint venture in this agreement will have 30% equity contribution.
SBI gets $625 million from World Bank for solar programme
State Bank of India (SBI) has made an agreement with the World Bank to receive $625 million to provide grid connected rooftop solar programme in the country. This will help SBI to finance grid connected rooftop solar photovoltaic (GRPV) projects at very reasonable rates.
Dhaka café attackers were from Jamaat not ISIS followers
On Sunday, a senior minister said that the Jihadis’s who killed 20 hostages at a Dhaka café were members of a home-grown Bangladeshi militant outfit and not followers of the Islamic State Group (ISIS)
