19 new members in Modi’s Cabinet
On Tuesday, Prime Minster Narendra Modi has carried out the expansion of his cabinet. He introduced 19 new members into his cabinet. These new members include dalit, OBC leaders etc. Out of 19 members, 17 are from BJP itself. No members are included from Shiv Sena.
NASA Spacecraft enters Jupiter
NASA has succeeded in placing the spacecraft into Jupiter on Monday. It is the biggest of all the planets and it has taken five long years to succeed. Ground controllers at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory erupted in applause when the solar-powered Juno spacecraft showed home news that was circling in Jupiter’s poles.
Electronic cigarettes to be banned in Kerala
Kerala government has made the decision to ban electronic cigarettes in the state. The cigarettes were banned citing that they would cause health issues like cancer and heart ailments. The health ministry has ordered additional chief secretary of health to issue an order to ban the production, sale and advertisement of electronic cigarettes. Kerala is the fourth state to ban e-cigarettes. The three states that have banned e-cigarettes are Punjab, Maharashtra, and Karnataka.
Haryana to develop new Industrial Township in Gurgaon district
An MOU was signed between Haryana Government and China Fortune Land Development (CFLD) Company in New Delhi to develop a new industrial township in Gurgaon district. On Sunday, Haryana Government has announced that it would develop a new industrial township in over 1,500 acres in Sohna and Manesar areas of Gurgaon. The cost for developing this township is estimated to be $5 billion.
MeT issues orange alert in Uttarakhand
After heavy rains and cloudbursts in Uttarakhand, the Meteorological Department on Sunday issued an orange alert in the state. It said that there can be isolated heavy rains in the state for next 24 hours. The orange alert is nothing but a weather condition that affects the people who are in affected areas.
Tripura to get food, fuel via Bangladesh
After the successful inauguration of the revised Inland Water Transit and Trade Protocol (IWTTP), which will give access to the third-country i.e., Bangladesh, now food, fuel are going to be shipped to Tripura through it. Essential commodities will be shipped from Bangladesh to Tripura via waterways through Ashuganj port on the river Meghna.

Indian Navy has launched its fourth Water Jet Fast Attack Craft INS Tarasa in Kolkata. This water jet fast attack craft aims to transform Indian naval littoral operations by combining sped and agility in the 160-foot vessel.
Haryana Government to launch food canteens by November 1st
Haryana Government is all set to launch food canteens in the state by November 1st this year. The success of subsidized public canteens in Kurukshetra has made the government of Haryana to come to this decision. Unlike the Amma Canteens of Tamil Nadu which provides idlis at Rs.1 and Ahar Yojana canteens of Odisha which provides rice and dal at Rs. 5, this Satkar Bhojan by Haryana provides north Indian meal for Rs. 25.
