CSIR launches new drug for diabetics
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has launched an anti-diabetic ayurvedic drug for type 2 Diabetes mellitus, which is named as BGR-34. The drug is developed by National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI) and Central Institute for Medical and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP) together. The drug will be available for 5 rupees.
UP announces that all natural calamities will be considered as state disaster
Uttar Pradesh government has announced that all the natural calamities taking place in the state will be considered as state disasters. The calamities include unseasonal heavy rain, lightning, Loo, storm etc. It also stated that the victims of such disasters will be given compensation and relief as per provisions made under State Disaster Relief Fund by the Central Government.
Junagadh Agricultural University scientists find gold in Gir cow urine
Junagadh Agricultural University (JAU) after four years of continues research have found gold in Gir cows urine. The analysis of the urine samples of 400 Gir cows was done at Food Testing Laboratory of JAU. The gold in the urine ranges from three mg to 10 mg in one litre or urine.
20% hike to be granted for Government servants soon

Indo-Nepal border pillars to flaunt GPS

There are over 8 thousand boundary pillars all along the Indo-Nepal border and all the pillars will be equipped with positioning system using Global Navigation Satellite System.
