Maharashtra Police launches four apps to strengthen public security system
With an aim to strengthen public security system, Maharashtra police has launches four mobile apps for timely intervention into emergency situations. The four apps are Pratisaad, police mitra, Vahanchoritakrar and Railway helpline app. The apps were launched by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Nagpur.
Maharashtra probe finds no case against Naik
Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) has given a clean chit to preacher Zakir Naik saying that there is simply no case to be made out against the televangelist. Sources from the special SID’s team who have handled the issue on the order of state government said that Dr. Naik will not be and cannot be arrested upon his return to India.
Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan Launched
Today, Meghalaya Governor V. Shanmuganathan inaugurated the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA) in the East Khasi Hills District of Meghalaya at a programme organized by the office of the District Medical and Health Officer, East Khasi Hills District, under the aegis of the National Health Mission at St. Jerome School, Nongmensong in the city.
First seed processing unit in Kathua
The first-ever modern seed processing unit in the state of Jammu and Kashmir is all set to be set up at Kathua and the letter to start this will be issued by Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh. The land to establish this processing unit has also selected near Kathua city, which is about 2 acres. The Union Minister of the state on Saturday has announced this matter.
Airtel and Aircel Spectrum trading deal cleared
The Telecom Ministry is learnt to have cleared the Rs. 3,500 core 4G spectrum trading deal between service providers Bharti Airtel and Aircel. An official source said that “the spectrum trading deal between Bharti Airtel and Aircel was cleared by the telecom minister on July 4th.
Indian football star Amal Dutta passes away
Indian football star Amal Dutta passed away at his residence in Kolkata after suffering from a breathing problems. Dutta is a legend in football and represented India at 1954 Asian Games and is named as the first professional football coach in the country. He is 86 when he passed away.

Magnitude of 6.4 Earthquake was recorded in Ecuador’s Northwest Coast
The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that a shallow magnitude of 6.4 earthquake hit Ecuador’s northwest coast on Sunday. The quake was centered near the town of Esmeraldas, northwest of the capital Quito, at a depth of about 35 km. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center did not issue a tsunami warning immediately after the quake.
