The University of Delhi has commenced admission procedure for aspirants seeking admission to 66 post graduate courses. The application process has begun from 27th April, 2016. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply before the last date that is May 24th. The Delhi University has about 8000 seats for various Post Graduate courses. The intake of admission is based on the written test and interview. The exam was held in various centers for the first time Delhi University conducting the exam outside of Delhi for convenience of candidates. 50 percent seats are reserved for those candidates who have graduated from Delhi University. Those candidates no need to write the entrance exam. For the admission in Delhi university candidates should have minimum 50 percent of marks in Graduation. Exam will held in 6 cities outside of the Delhi the cities are Kolkata, Varanasi, Chennai, Jammu & Kashmir, Ahmadabad and Nagpur. The exam consists objective type questions and the exam duration is 2 hours the question paper consists in both Hindi and English it is informed by Senior member of Post Graduation admissions Standing Committee. The Delhi University scheduled the exam between 18th June to 24th June and the interview conducts for shortlisted candidates after 4th July. Delhi University intakes the admissions for MPhil and PhD courses along with PG. The entrance process will end on 18th July. For entrance process candidates have to pay registration fee, the candidates who belong to General and OBC category have to pay Rs 500/- and SC / ST candidates have to pay Rs 250/-

Delhi University has decided to introduce 25 new courses in various colleges in this academic year. The Delhi University is introducing Forensic Science for candidates. This course will be offered in SGTB Khalsa College. This is the first time the course is introducing along with this they are introducing 25 new courses in various colleges. For these courses the Delhi University will allow 2,000 students to apply. Nearly 30 colleges are showing interest to these new courses, this academic year St Stephens will introduce Political Science and Gargi College is introducing Maths (H), and the colleges like Bhagini Nivedita, Shaheed Bhagat Singh and Aryabhatta College will offer History (H) in this year.
