Graduate Aptitude Test (GATE) 2017 is going to be conducted soon by Indian Institute of Science (IISC). Every year IISC conducts GATE exam for the aspirants of the country who are willing to go for higher studies like post graduation. It conducts GATE entrance exam and provides the qualified students of the exam with admissions. The applications for the GATE 2017 were being accepted by the authority through the official site. Many aspirants who want to go for higher studies are applying for the exam. IISC has released an official notification that contains all the details regarding GATE exam to be conducted in 2017.
GATE Exam Eligibility Criteria
As the exam is nearby all the applicants have been searching for the eligibility criteria and age limit. Candidates need to satisfy certain eligibility criteria in order to be eligible to apply for the GATE exam. However, the age of the candidates who have been applying for the GATE exam is not considered. So, candidates need to get an idea about the eligibility criteria as well as the age limit even before applying the exam. Today we have come up with GATE 2017 eligibility criteria and age limit. GATE Eligibility
Many factors will be taken into consideration in the name of Eligibility criteria by IISC. Candidates must and should satisfy the eligibility criteria in order to apply for the exam. The applications of the candidates who does not satisfy the eligibility criteria and still apply for the exam will be rejected by the authority. So, candidates must be properly aware of the eligibility criteria details before applying for the exam.
Educational qualification
Candidates should have following educational qualification in order to apply for the GATE exam 2017. The educational qualification is:
- Candidate should have a Bachelor Degree in B.Tech/B.E./B.Pharm/B.Arch from any recognized university or board.
- Candidate should have Bachelor Degree in Science/BSc. Research from any recognized university.
- Applicants should have Master’s Degree in any stream like Mathematics/Science/Computer or equivalent or statistics or five year B.S./M.S. Program or M.Tech or M.E. after B.Sc.
- Applicants who are yet to appear for the final year exam can also apply for GATE exam. These applicants need to submit certificate from the Principal of University or College. After qualifying the examination, candidates have to submit their degree certificate or provisional certificate.
- Diploma holders are not eligible to apply for GATE exam.
GATE Required Percentage
- The score validity of GATE Exam is for 2 years until now and from this year the validity is extended to 3 years.
- The GATE score is not just used to study post graduation, but also is considered in many Indian Public Sector units.
- The GATE paper is conducted through online and the exam paper will be evaluated through machine. So, there is no scope for re-evaluation.
GATE Age Eligibility
There is no age limit for the candidates and anyone can apply to appear for GATE exam, but candidates must and should hold Bachelors Degree from any recognized university.
