GMAT is evaluation or test that is based on computer adaptability which assesses the potential of the applicant by evaluating different parameters for the determination of their expertise in different areas by four sections in the new pattern of the exam:
- Integrated Reasoning Section.
- Analytical Writing Assessment.
- Verbal Section.
- Quantitative Section.
GMAT is one of the entrance tests that are most reliable in regards to the business programs that are high quality which is offered by the elite business schools across the world. It is a registered trademark of that is integrated with Graduate Management Admission Council. This specific council is accountable for conducting the evaluation for the admission of candidates towards around 6000 programs that are offered by 1200 colleges and universities.
This exam is handled by around 112 countries in the world in the highly standardized evaluation facilities. Applicants are provided with 3 and half hours for completing the entire exam which encompasses the four sections in the GMAT Syllabus 2018. The remaining two sections have the scores that are not dependent on any other sections.
Section 1 of GMAT Syllabus 2018: Analytical Writing Test
This section includes an essay with a time duration of 30 minutes which further includes:
Argument analysis
According to the GMAT Syllabus 2018, candidates are expected to:
- Evaluate and analyze the provided argument.
- Identifying the reasoning behind any given argument and compose a critical evaluation of the topic.
- Evaluating a methodical approach to presenting the answer.
- Evaluating different viewpoints.
- Providing support to the answers with suitable examples and reasoning.
Section 2 of GMAT Syllabus 2018: integrated reasoning
This section of the new GMAT Syllabus 2018 has 12 questions which have time duration of 30 minutes. This section has been integrated by replacing one of the essays. The score that the candidates are provided is 1 to 8. This section of the evaluation explains how the candidates can use the analytical skills of resolving any complicated issues. The candidates are provided with data in different forms. This section integrates four different types of questions:
Table Analysis:
In this section, the candidates are provided with a huge amount of information in formats of the table. The questions expect the candidates for choosing the answers from yes or no, true or false with multiple statements for answering every question.
Graphic interpretation:
Candidates are provided with graphical image or graphs. They are expected for interpreting the graph by choosing one option from the menu.
Multi-source reasoning:
Candidates have to collect the information by choosing the different tabs provided.
Two-part analysis:
There will be one question and multiple choices which have to be done in a table form.
Section 3 of GMAT Syllabus 2018: Quantitative Section
Candidates have to attempt 37 questions in the time duration of 37 minutes. The questions need maths skills for answering algebra, basic arithmetic, and geometry. This section includes questions from data sufficiency and problem-solving.
Section 4 of GMAT Syllabus 2018: Verbal section
Candidates have 75 minutes for answering 41 questions of multiple choices which fall into one of the categories that are Critical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and Sentence Correction.
