Institution of Banking Personnel Selection
IBPS is an autonomous agency in India it started working from 1975 as PSS. PSS is known as Personnel Selection Services. In 1984 it became independent entity at the behest of Reserve Bank of India and Public Sector bank. It announced the CWE for the recruitment officer and Clerks in Indian banks. CWE is known as Common Written exam. IBPS CWE is an important exam for the candidates who are trying for bank jobs in 29 public sector and regional rural banks. IBPS is an autonomous body which is created to render assistance to organisations in areas such as personnel like recruitment, selection, placement, designing, and developing suitable measurement tools / tests. IBPS provide its services to all Public Sector banks, SBI, Associate Banks of SBI, RBI, NABARD, SIDBI, few Co.op. Banks, LIC & Insurance companies which are regular members of the IBPS society. IBPS CWE is a mandatory for anyone who seeks an employment in 20 public sectors and regional rural banks.
Participating banks in IBPS Exam
Except for SBI, almost all the major Public Sector Banks are participating in the CWE. The 21 banks which are participating in the CWE are Allahabad Bank, Andhra Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Bharatiya Mahila Bank, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Corporation Bank, Dena Bank, IDBI Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, Syndicate Bank, Union Bank of India, United Bank of India, UCO Bank and Vijaya Bank.
IBPS Eligibility criteria
Educational qualification
Candidates must have Graduation degree from any recognized institute by govt. With minimum marks.
IBPS Application process
The candidates who belong to general category and OBC category have to pay Rs 600/- and the candidates who belong to SC / ST / PWD have to pay Rs 100/- towards application fee.
IBPS Age limit
Candidates should have minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum age is 30 years as on 1st July 2016.
IBPS Selection process
Candidates will be selected on their performance in Prelims, prelims is the first round the candidates who will be shortlisted in the preliminary exam will be allowed to main exam. Those who are shortlisted in the main exam will call to the next round that is Document verification after completing this round will call to the last round that is personal interview. After completing all the rounds the shortlisted candidates will be placed in their respective positions.
IBPS Admit card
Admit card is an important document to carry to the exam hall. With out admit card they won’t allow to sit in the exam. IBPS Admit card will release before 10 days of the exam. Admit card consists some important instructions like Student ID, roll number, exam date, exam time, etc.
