IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) on 16th July, 2016 has released an official notification inviting applications for the IBPS PO exam. Many candidates who are aspiring to take IBPS PO exam are getting ready to take the exam. The application commencing date will be on 26th July, 2016 and the last date of application submission is 13th August, 2016. Candidates who are eligible and interested in working in baking sector can apply for the IBPS PO exam 2016 by visiting the official site of IBPS and filling the application form. Candidates need to satisfy some eligibility criteria that are set by IBPS in order to be able to apply for the exam.
The eligibility criteria that need to be satisfied by the aspirants in order to apply for IBPS PO exam 2016 are educational qualification, age limit, nationality, aggregate ect. IBPS PO Eligibility Criteria
As we said earlier, candidates must and should satisfy the eligibility criteria in order to be able to apply for the IBPS PO exam 2016. Many things like age limit, educational qualification, nationality etc will be considered in the section of eligibility criteria.
Nationality
Candidates should fall into the below category of nationality in order to apply for the IBPS PO exam.
Candidate must be either
- A citizen of India or
- A subject of Nepal or
- A subject of Bhutan or
- A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or
- A person of Indian origin who have migrated from Pakistan, Buma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
Age limit
Candidates need to fall between the ages of 20 and 30 as on 1st July, 2016 to be eligible to apply for the exam. The age relaxation is applicable as per the norms of IBPS. Please refer the official notification for detailed age limit info.
Educational qualification
- Candidates need to hold a degree in any discipline from a University recognized by the government of India or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by the Central Government.
- Candidates must have valid mark sheet/degree certificate that he/she is a graduate and indicate the percentage of marks obtained in graduation while registering online for the IBPS PO exam.
- All the educational qualifications mentioned should be obtained from recognized university or institution and the result should be declared on or before 13th August, 2016.
- Candidates who are in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for IBPS PO exam 2016.
Application fee
The application is different for different category students.
For general and OBC candidates the application fee is Rs. 600/-
For ST/SC/PWD candidates the application fee is Rs. 100/-
