Salary Comparison
IBPS PO will receive a pay scale of 37,360-38,700 per month whilst SBI PO will receive 45,000 per month. The basic pay for SBI PO is Rs.23700/-. There will be special allowance of 7.75%. The basic pay of IBPS PO is Rs.23700/-. There will be annual increment of Rs.980.
Perks
IBPS will provide accommodation for the POs and the lease amount varies from place of posting. For SBI, the leased accommodation range from Rs. 8,000 in C category Centers to Rs. 29,5000/- in Mumbai Centre. In IBPS, few banks provide travelling allowances while few other banks provide petrol bills. SBI provides home travel concession/leave fare concession. IBPS banks provide medical aid in the form of fixed annual amount and SBI will provide 100% medical aid for self and 75% for family. In short, SBI POs are paid four increments more compared to IBPS banks.
Work Environment Comparison
SBI
SBI is the oldest and largest bank and has huge customer base. It has many branches and numerous customers. SBI ATMs are present everywhere too, which implies higher the customers, higher the pressure.
IBPS
Only few nationalized banks in the list of IBPS have more branches while few banks have very few branches. They don’t have many ATMs too, which means that number of customers are less compared to SBI and so the work pressure is low too.
