IBPS RRB Cut off 2016 Expected & Previous Year Cut offs
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is now engaged in finalizing the cutoff marks for the RRB exam. The cutoff marks for IBPS RRB exams 2016 will soon be finalized by the bank and will be announced by means of its official web portal. The cutoff marks will be set by the board to shortlist the candidates for future rounds. The cutoff marks will be different for different officers i.e., Scale I, II, and III and Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Candidates who only qualify the cutoff marks will be promoted to the next round of selection.
The cutoff marks for IBPS RRB preliminary and mains exam will be declared soon by the board. It is expected that the cutoff marks for preliminary exam for the post of Officer Scale I will be out in November this year and the cutoff for Office Assistants (Multipurpose) will be issued in December. IBPS will announce of sectional and state wise cutoffs soon in a little while. Candidates who satisfy the cutoff marks set by IBPS for mains exam will be promoted to appear for interview whereas the Office Assistant post applicants who satisfy the mains cutoff will be provided with provisional allotment.
The cutoff marks will be decided by IBPS by taking various factors into consideration that include difficulty level of the paper, number of vacancies, number of applicants applied, highest score obtained, previous year cutoff etc.

Office Assistants (Multipurpose)
- Candidates need to attain minimum score in the online mains exam conducted by the institute to be eligible to receive provisional allotment.
- Considering the number of vacancies in each state, the institute will shortlist the candidates for provisional allotment.
Officer Scale I
- Candidates need to make minimum score and should satisfy the cutoff marks in the online mains exams to be promoted for next round i.e., interview.
- On the basis of the number of available vacancies, fair number of candidates in each category not exceeding three times of the vacancies available in each state shall be called to appear for interview.
Officers Scale II and III
- To be shortlisted for interview candidate need to obtain minimum cutoff marks in the online mains exam.
- Considering the number of available vacancies, fair number of candidates in each category not exceeding three times shall be shortlisted for interview.
Expected Cutoff Marks of IBPS RRB 2016
As we mentioned earlier, IBPS will issue the IBPS cutoff marks for Prelims and Mains exams in November and December for all the available posts. For now we have come up with expected cutoff marks for all the posts. Take a look!
