Karnataka PSC Excise Si Recruitment 2017 | KPSC 1180 Abkari Police Jobs: Karnataka Public Service Commission has published an employment advertisement seeking applications from the aspirants of the state for the Excise Sub Inspector post. The notification is named under Karnataka Excise (Abakari) Department 2017. The department is going fill in 1180 Excise SI Guard vacancies by conducting the exam for the young and eligible candidates of the state who enroll for the exam. There are a total of 117 vacancies for Excise Sub Inspector post and 1003 vacancies for Excise Guard post. The Abakari Excise Guard posts are divided between men and women. There are 952 vacancies for men and 51 vacancies for women in the post.

Karnataka PSC Excise SI and Guard Recruitment 2017 Eligibility Criteria
Applicants of Excise Sub Inspector Jobs should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from an approved university or institution with minimum good percentage of marks. While applicants of Excise Guard jobs should have completed SSLC or 10th class from any recognized board of India. The age limit for Excise Sub Inspector post applicants should be between 21 years to 26 year for General category candidates and 21 to 31 years for SC/ST candidates. The age limit for Excise Guard post applicants should be between 18 years to 26 years for General category candidates and 18 to 31 years for SC/ST candidates.
Shortlisted candidates for the respective posts will receive good pay as per the norms of the authority. Excise Sub Inspector post will get a pay scale of Rs. 16000/- to Rs. 29600/- and Excise Guard post will get a pay scale of Rs. 16000/- to Rs. 21000/-. The application fee differs with the category. The application fee for general candidates is 300/-. Categories 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B section candidates will have to application fee of Rs. 150/-. For Ex-servicemen, the application fee is Rs. 25/- and there is no application fee for SC/ST candidates.
The selection procedure of the candidates will be done in terms of various rounds that include Physical Standard Test/Physical Measurement Test, Written Test, Physical Endurance Test, Personal Interview, and Medical test. Candidates need to qualify in each and every round to get a hold of the job.

KPSC Excise SI and Guard exam is held in two papers – Paper I and Paper 2.
Paper-1
- Paper-1 consists of Essay Writing & Translation
- Essay writing is conducted for 30 marks.
