NEET (AIPMT) Seat Allotment 2016
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has successfully conducted National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) Phase 1 exam was held on 1st of May, 2016 and Phase 2 exam on July 24th, 2016. Scores of aspirants have appeared for the exam that was held in various centers. CBSE has released the results of both Phase 1 and Phase 2 on 16th August, 2016. The results are available in the official site of CBSE. The candidates who got qualified in the exam will be given admission into various medical colleges of the country into various medical courses like MBBS/BDS etc.
NEET 1st Counselling Seat Allotment Result 2016
Now as the results are released, CBSE is thinking of conducting the counseling and seat allotment for the qualified students of NEET exam 2016. It is said that the counseling will be held in two phases by Medical Counseling Committee (MCC). The counseling will start from 22nd August, 2016. The counseling will be held online and candidates who got qualified in NEET 2016 will be eligible to take 15% All India Quota Undergraduate MBBS/BDS seats. In order to appear for the counseling students need to first enroll. Today we have come up with NEET 2016 Counseling and allotment.

There are exactly 3179 MBBS seats in 150 Medical colleges and 250 BDS seats in 28 Dental colleges.
NEET 2016 Counseling Schedule
MCC has announced the counseling schedule of NEET 2016 soon after the results are released. As we said earlier, the counseling will be held in two phases and the first phase marks the start from 22nd August. The schedule of counseling of NEET 2016 is given below.
NEET 2016 Counseling for 15% All India Quotas (AIQ)
The NEET 2016 counseling will be held to fill in 15% All India Quota MBBS and BDS seats in all medical and dental universities of India expect the organizations in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu and Kashmir. The seat allotment of MBBS and BDS will be done purely based on the merit of the students. The ranks obtained by the candidates play a vital role in seat allotment. Candidates need to participate in the counseling process depending on their rankings in the NEET exam. The cutoff marks will be considered by the board to shortlist the candidates of NEET exam.
NEET 2016 Counseling Procedure
The counseling of NEET 2016 will be held in two rounds. In order to take part in the counseling process aspirants who have qualified in the NEET 2016 exam need to first make an enrollment. We have provided step-by-step process of counseling of NEET 2016 in our page below.
- Enrollment to appear for NEET 2016 Counseling.
- Deciding on the colleges, seats and finalizing the decision.
- Seat allotment will be held in the first round, which is a computer process held by an authority under MCC.
- NEET 2016 round 1 result will be declared.
- Allotment of first round of seats will be finalized and reported to the Medical and Dental colleges.
- Now the second phase or second round of counseling will take place.
- The results of round 2 will be released.
- Allotment of second round of seats will be finalized and reported to the Medical and Dental colleges.
