Railway Recruitment 2018 is going to held to recruit the candidates for the post of Assistant Loco Pilots and Technicians. Railway Recruitment Board conducts this examination every year for giving the candidates a golden chance or opportunity to fulfill their dreams and join the prestigious Government Sector.
As per the Railway Recruitment Notification 2018, for all the posts a single application is to be submitted by all the candidates who wish to apply for the posts i.e. common application form for the the mentioned posts. Railway Recruitment Notification 2018 has been released on 3rd February 2018. As per that the total no. of 26,502 vacancies was declared. Out if which 17,673 vacancies are declared for the post of Loco Pilot (ALP) and 8,829 vacancies are declared for the post of Technicians.The candidates who are willing to apply for the post can do by applying online for the examination. The post for which vacancies are declared are of ALP and Technicians. Railway Recruitment application form applying date starts from 3rd February 2018 and the last date to apply for the posts is 5th March 2018. Candidates can apply before the date ends.
Eligibility Criteria
AGE : A candidate is required to be between 18-28 years to be eligible for Railway Recruitment 2018 exam.
QUALIFICATION : Candidates should have the Degree, Diploma and HSC (10+2) fir getting eligible for the posts of ALP and post of Assistant Loco Pilot.
NOTE : The Candidates who have been passed Physics and Maths in 12th Standard are eligible for the Technician Grade III Signal and Technician Grade III Telecommunication posts namely Post 70 and Post 71 respectively.
NATIONALITY : The candidates should be a citizen of India, A subject of Nepal, A subject of Bhutan, A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 for settling permanently in the India or a person of Indian origin who migrated to India from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam and have the intention and want to settle permanently in India.
APPLICATION FEES :
Candidates of UR & OBC have to pay Rs. 500/- as application fee.
Candidates belonging to the SC/ ST/ Ex-Serviceman/ PWDs/ Female/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economically backward class have to pay Rs. 250/- as the application fees.
NOTE : As per the Railway Recruitment Board a sum total of Rs. 400 will be refunded to candidates of the unreserved category and total of Rs. 250 will be refunded to candidates belonging to the reserved categories. This initiative is taken by the Railway Recruitment Board to ensure there is the maximum participation of candidates.
RESULT : The Result will be announced by Railway Recruitment 2018 for Stage 1 and Stage 2 after the examination. The result for Stage 1 CBT will be announced first. The result for Stage 1 and Stage 2 will be announced by Railway Recruitment 2018 after the result of Stage 1 CBT. Candidates who clear Stage 1 CBT will be allowed to give Stage 2 of Railway Recruitment 2018 Exam. Result for Stage 2 CBT will will be released after the examination for the same has been conducted.
Exam Pattern
The Exam Pattern for Railway Recruitment 2018 is set of two stages and that is a Computer Based Test.
First stage of CBT
Min. percentage required : UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%.
Types of questions : Will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions: (Hindi/English)
Negative markings : There will be negative Marking as for every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.
The total number of candidates that are shortlisted for the Stage 2 shall be 15 times the total vacancy of ALP and Technician post notified against the RRB as per merit list in Stage 1.
Second Stage of CBT
PART-A
Min. percentage required : UR -40%, OBC-30%, SC-30%, ST -25%.
Types of questions : consist of multiple-choice objective type questions(Hindi/English)
Negative markings : There will be negative Marking as for every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.
PART-B
Qualifying Marks : 35 % (This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible)
Min. marks obtained : The candidate needs to secure a minimum score of 42 marks in each of the tests or exams to get qualified. This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permitted.
NOTE : There shall be no negative marking in Computer Based AT.
The ALP merit list will be drawn only from amongst the candidates qualifying in the Aptitude Test, with 70% weight age for the marks obtained in the Part A of Second Stage CBT and 30% weight age for the marks obtained in Computer Based AT
After getting qualified the document Verification of the candidates will be done.
Note: Candidates attempting to submit application more than once will be disqualified or debarred from the examination.
