Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU) was established in the year 1987 in the city of Ajmer, of Rajasthan state of India. It opened in 1987 and is named after the philosopher Maharshi Dayananda Saraswati. The university was established on 1st August 1987 as the University of Ajmer. But the name was changed to Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University in the year 1992.
Rajasthan PTET means Pre Teachers Eligibility Test. This test is mainly organized by the Jai Narain Vyas University, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The purpose of this entrance test is to select the students for admissions in the field of B.Ed. in various colleges and universities of Rajasthan state. Admission of the candidate will be solely based on the performance of the candidates and the candidates’ rank in PTET. It is compulsory for the candidate to score minimum 40% marks to qualify the PTET examination. This exam is conducted almost every year and numerous candidates are admitted through this test only.

Rajasthan PTET Exam pattern
Pre Teacher Eligibility Test total 3 hours examination and there can be total 200 questions to attempt. Over all question paper is 600 marks. Paper built on 4 subjects and each subject has 50 questions. For qualifying in the B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) Course Rajasthan, you need to clear the PTET test. PTET exam was held once a year for entering in B.ED course. The MDSU (Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University Ajmer) Rajasthan Conducts PTET examination every year but JNVU University also conducts the examination. The paper consists four sections i.e Mental ability, Teaching Attitude and Aptitude test, General awareness and Language proficieny (Hindi or English).

Rajasthan PTET Subject wise syllabus
General Awareness test
This section contains (i) Current awareness (National and International), (ii) India and natural resources, (3) Environment awareness, (4) Indian History and culture, (5) famous personality of India (Present and past), (6) Knowledge of Rajasthan etc.,
Mental Ability test
This part consists (1) judgment and decision making, (2) Generalization, (3) Reasoning, (4) imagination, (5) Drawing inferences (6) Creative thinking etc.,
Language proficiency test
This section consists the specialty and knowledge of the candidates in the Hindi or English language. This part consists questions from (1) Functional Grammar, (2) Sentance structure, (3) Vocabulary, (4) comprehension etc.,
Marks alloted for each section
Each section consists 50 marks and 50 questions. The total marks and total questions is 200. Exam will be held on May 5th, 2016.
