RRB ALP Loco Pilot Recruitment 2016-17

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a notification welcoming applications for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP).  RRB invited application from eligible and interested candidates.  The application forms to apply for the post are available on the official site of RRB.  The official site of RRB is www.rrb.gov.in.  RRB has released notification for both ALP posts and Technician Grade III posts.  There are 26567 vacancies in both the posts.  Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the posts on or before the last date.  The vacancies for the posts are there in various zones like RRB Ranchi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Allahabad, etc.

Every year RRB recruits staff for various departments.  This year too it has come up with a notification to fill in ALP and Technician posts.  All the eligible candidates are advised to make use of this recruitment and participate by applying through online.

RRB ALP Recruitment 2016

RRB Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) should assist the Loco Driver.  His job is to Fine tuning the locomotive, calling out single once sighted, attending to minor repairs of the locomotive, and regularly checking the efficiency of the locomotive.  Locomotives are responsible for transporting nearly 25 million passengers and more than 2.9 million tons of freight daily with the help of 2, 29, 38 wagons, 59,713 coaches and more than 9,213 locomotive engines of various kinds.

RRB ALP Vacancy details

Every day lakhs of people travel in trains to reach their destinations. It is the responsibility of the ALP to make the journey safe by taking all types of precautions that are needed.  Every year hundreds of new trains to different places will be sanctioned by the government.  It is RRB that will recruit the loco pilots to the trains.  RRB will recruit ALPs for all the zones. The railways are divided into 18 zones and 71 divisions.  RRB is the one that is responsible for recruiting ALPs for all the zones. It conducts written an exam to the candidates who have applied for the post by satisfying all the eligibility criteria.  Candidates who got qualified in written exam will be promoted to take the aptitude test.  Candidates who made it to aptitude test will be given the job.  Document verification will be carried out before appointing the candidates into the job.
