Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) providing great career opportunities to people desired to join Indian Railways. Annually RRB releases notifications to recruit suitable personnel for various technical, non-technical, and paramedical vacancies. Railway jobs includes various cadres, Group A, B, C and D. Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB) is working under Ministry of Railways to deal with the recruitment of suitable personnel in various posts. RRCB is responsible to recruit suitable candidates for 19 Railway Recruitment Boards. As the Indian Railways are the most functioning unit, the recruitments will be conducted as an ongoing process. Annually, there are many Gazetted and Non-Gazetted railway posts will be advertised by RRCB.
Jobs in Indian Railways (RRB)
Indian Railways are mainly having 4 cadres of vacancies. Group A, B, C and D. In these, Group A and B posts belongs to Gazetted Officer and Group C and D belongs to Non-Gazetted Officer posts. In India 19 Railway Recruitment Boards are functioning at present. The 19 RRBs will recruit candidates for these 4 cadres. Here is the brief description about RRB posts.
Group ‘A’ Posts:
RRB Group A posts will be carried out by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Candidates selection be done by, Civil Service Examination, Engineering Service Examination, and Combined Medical Service Examination.
Group ‘B’ Posts:
These posts will be advertised by RRBs directly. RRB Group B include, Section Officer Posts. These are upgraded posts from Group C employees on commission basis.
Group ‘C’ Posts:
RRB Group C posts contains several technical and non-technical posts such as, Engineering posts (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Signal & Telecommunication) Station Master, Clerk, Ticket Collector, Commercial Apprentice, Traffic Apprentice, etc.
Group ‘D’ Posts:
RRB Group D posts are the worker vacancies like, helpers, trackman, Gunman, Peon, Assistant Points Man, Safaiwala / Safaiwali etc.
RRB recruitment and quota reservation:

Educational Qualifications to apply Railway Jobs:
Candidates trying for railway posts must have a minimum educational qualification of 10th Class/ITI from any recognized board for Group C and D vacancies.
And candidates must have done Graduate / PG degree for Group A and B vacancies.
Selection Procedure:
The selection procedure is different from post to post.
For Group A and B posts, applicants will be having written test fallowed by Viva. Candidates those who have cleared the written test will be forwarded for next round, and candidates those cleared viva will be filtered for posting.
For posts like Stenographer, there will be skill test.
For posts like Assistant Loco Pilot, Assistant Station Master, there will be aptitude test. Candidates those cleared the test will be promoted for interview round.
