SBI Clerk 2016 Selection Process
The State Bank of India (SBI) has recently come up with the official notification regarding the recruitment for the clerks or assistants jobs in their bank at various branches and invited the applications from all the eligible and interested candidates. It is said that, the eligible applicants can starting filling their applications from 05 April 2016 up to 25 April 2016. So for those candidates who are going to apply for the recruitment, it is necessary that they need to know the selection process in order to prepare for the process accordingly and to get selected for the clerical posts that you have applied for. For this reason, we have collected the details of the selection process of the SBI Clerk 2016 and given it for your reference. In this article we have given all the details of the selection or the recruitment process of the SBI Assistant / Clerical Cadre posts for the various branches of the State Bank of India that has been located at various places.
The SBI Clerk 2016 selection process comprises of various stages that the candidate need to pass through or else clear all those rounds for final selection to the respective post. It is necessary that the candidates need to know about each and every round of the selection process of the recruitment and prepare for those rounds in order to get selected. If the candidate has failed in any of the rounds, the he or she will not be promoted for the next rounds and will get rejected. SBI Clerk Selection Process or Stages 2016
Basically, there will be a total of three rounds or the stages in the SBI Clerk 2016 recruitment and the candidates need to clear all of them for finally getting selected. They are as follows. So, check them out and know about the each stage clearly as described below.
- Online written examination
- Document verification
- Personal interview
Selection Process Step 1 – Online Written Examination
At first, the candidates need to appear for the first stage of selection called the online written examination. This exam will be conducted for the applicants in the time period or the duration of 40 to 45 minutes. In the given duration, the candidates have to solve the questions in the online or computer in which there will be a total of 5 sections. The candidates should score the marks that reach the cut off marks in each section of the paper in order to qualify in the exam. Next the overall score is also considered based on the overall cut off marks that is set by the SBI which would vary every year. If the candidates didn’t cross the cut off, they will not be eligible for next rounds.
The cut off marks will vary from one category to another. Generally, based on the posts or the vacancies the candidates are called in the 1:3 ratio i.e., if suppose there are 100 seats, 300 candidates will be selected for the next round.
Selection Process Step 2 – Document Verification
In order to check the authenticity of the candidates, the documents related to them are checked thoroughly. Most probably, this document verification will be done on the day of personal interview round. Those people who fail in complying with the documents standards will be rejected and they will not be allowed for the final personal interview round. So candidates need to check whether they are carrying all the necessary and relevant documents with the correct details as sacrificed in the notification. Each certificate and document will be cross checked with the details that are filled by the candidates in the application form.
Selection Process Step 3 – Personal Interview
Finally the candidates selected in the document verification round will be moved for Personal Interview round that will be held at the venue selected by the officials and this will be informed for the selected candidates through an interview call letter that will be accessible in the SBI official website. In the personal interview round, the candidate’s personality as well as the knowledge will be assessed personally. The questions will be asked in direct based on the situation or else personal. Based on the answers or the response, body language, way of communication, way of saying the answers, the marks will be given for you in personal interview. It is required for the candidates to score the minimum marks in the round personal interview, which is as set by the SBI bank. Weightage on the expertise or else the knowledge in the local language will be given as per the rules or the guidelines of the government. Finally, based on the performance in all these rounds the candidates will be given a normalized score and it is considered for the final selection.
