IBPS Clerk job description
The selection process of clerk will be prelims exam followed by mains exam. The job description is same as SBI Clerk.

Pay Scale
The pay scale of both the banks is almost same.
- The basic pay is Rs.11, 765.
- There will be fixed increment of Rs.655 annually.
The allowances are:
- Dear allowance (39.4% of basic)
- HRA, it depends on the area where the employee stays (7-9% of the basic)
- Special allowance (7.5% for clerks)
The pay scale for both the banks is similar and totals to Rs.18, 100 – 19,800 per month. The only difference is the additional allowance that SBI provides to its employees which accounts to Rs 2000, which raises the pay scale to 21,800.

IBPS clerks will be assigned with so much work that needs to be completed in time. Though you will feel pressurized at the start later everything gets normal. There are pre-defined working hours and you can leave as per the timings.

You need to adopt multitasking capability to manage the work at SBI. You will be assigned with lot of work.

The probation period is six months. The clerks will get the opportunity to get promoted to Trainee Officer after three to four years, which is equal designation to PO. Slowly with years of experience the bank employee can reach to Senior Management Position.
