SSC CGL Syllabus and Exam Pattern for Tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 Download: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is in full readiness to conduct SSC CGL exam this year for the aspiring candidates. The exam is scheduled to be held from 25th July 2018 to 20th August 2018. Applications were being accepted by SSC from eligible candidates starting from 5th May 2018. SSC CGL Syllabus Tier 1 2018 Download
Candidates qualified in Tier 1 exam will be eligible to participate in Tier 2 exam and so on. Candidates need to qualify in each of the Tier to get the job. Here is the exam pattern that SSC will follow for CGL Tier exam.
- Tier 1 exam will be a computer based examination.
- Tier 2 exam will also be a computer based examination.
- Tier 3 exam will be descriptive type paper.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2018 Download
The SSC CGL Tier 2 exam pattern includes objective multiple choice questions. The sections asked in the main exam include Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics, General Studies
Tier III Examination:
The exam will be held in pen and paper mode i.e., it is a descriptive exam. Candidates need to write the essay, letter, application writing etc in this tier of an exam. The exam is conducted for 100 marks and the duration is 60 minutes.
Tier IV Examination:
- The data entry speed test will be conducted for the candidates except for compiler post for 2000 key depressions for a duration of 15 minutes.
- Computer proficiency test will be held where candidate’s skill in word processing, spread sheet and generation of slides will be tested.

SSC Tier 1 2016 Exam Pattern
This exam will be conducted in objective type Multiple Choice Questions. The exam paper consists of four sections with the total of 50 questions each for 200 marks. The four sections are General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension. Each question carries equal marks i.e., 1 mark.

Syllabus of Reasoning and General Intelligence:

Syllabus of General Awareness:
This section is to test the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around and its application to the society. Questions will also be designed to test the knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. This exam will also include questions relating to the country and its neighboring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy and Scientific Research.
Syllabus of English Comprehension:
This section is to test the Candidates ability to understand the correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability etc. would be tested.
