Eligibility Criteria for SSC CGL (Tier 1) 2016 Notification

Educational Qualification:

The education qualification of the candidates varies according to the Post. The education qualification of the candidates must be as per the below mentioned.

For Statistical Investigator Grade II :-

The candidates should have the bachelor’s degree in any of the subject that is with at least 60 percent in the Mathematics subject that is at 12th standard level from the Government approved University or else Institute.  

Or else

The candidates must have the Bachelor’s Degree in any of the subject in which the Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

For the Compiler Post :-

The candidates should have their Bachelor’s Degree that is with Economics or Mathematics or Statistics as the compulsory subject or else an elective subject from any of the recognized institution or else university.

For the rest of other Posts :-

The candidates should have the Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent degree from any of the recognised university or else institution that is approved by the central or else state government.

Age Limit:

This age limit also varies from post to post. The interested candidates must have the minimum age of 18 years and maximum age of 27 years old.

The upper age relaxation is given as per the government norms that is like

• For SC or ST Category : 05 (five) years
• For OBC and XSM Category : 03 (three) years
• For Physically Handicapped Category : 10 (ten) years
• For PH (OBC) Category : 13 (thirteen) years
• For PH (SC or ST) Category : 15 (fifteen) years

Application Fee

The candidates must have to pay the application fee which is non refundable.

• Unreserved  as well as OBC quota candidates must have to pay the application fee of Rs 100/-
• There is No Application Fee for all the reserved candidates like SC, ST, XSM or PH.

Selection Procedure:

The candidates are been selected based on the three phases that is

• CGL Tier I (Online Objective Exam)
• CGL Tier II (Online Objective Type)
• CGL Tier III will be the Computer Proficiency Test or else Skill Test and the Document Verification is compulsory one.

Pay Scale

For Group B Posts: Candidates will be getting the pay scale of Rs 9300/- to Rs 34800/-

For Group C Posts: Candidates will be getting the pay scale of Rs 5200/- to Rs 20200/-

• First of all the candidate must visit the official web portal of this Staff Selection Commission Board.

• Home Page will be displayed on the screen

• You must search for the link ‘SSC CGL Tier 1 2016 Notification Online Application For Group B and Group C Posts’

• Click on the link ‘SSC CGL Tier 1 2016 Notification Online Application For Group B and Group C Posts’

• You must read the notification carefully then click on the continue button

• Fill all the details in the application form and then click on submit button

• Then it will be generating the new ID and the Password

• Till here Part 1 registration is completed

• By using this new ID and Password you must again log in for the Part 2 registration.

• Fill the required details

• Check the details correctly and pay the application fee

• Then you must upload the scanned recent photograph along with the sign

• Click on Submit button

Important Dates

The Online Application will be starting from 13th February 2016

Last Date for the Part-I Registration is on 10th March 2016 by 5:00 PM

Last Date of Part-II Registration is 14th March 2016 by 5:00 PM

Date of this CGL Tier I Examination 2016 is on 8th May 2016 and 22nd May 2016

Probably Date of this CGL (Tier-II) examination 2016 will be on 13th August 2016 and 14th August 2016.
