SSC CHSL 2016 -17 Notification Apply Online 5134 PA/SA LDC DEO Jobs : Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued official advertisement seeking applications from the aspirants to apply for Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) exam 2016. The notification announcement was made very recently and many interested aspirants have already started applying for the exam. As per the notification, there are 5134 vacancies in the post of PA/SA LDC DEO posts. The exam is slated to be held early next year. SSC is welcoming applications from interested and eligible candidates who content the eligibility criteria set by it for that particular post.
SSC will be accepting applications online via its official web portal. CHSL is an All Indian Level Examination for which aspirants from different parts of the country will appear. The exam will be held very prestigiously by the board every year. Candidates who have minimum qualification of 12th standard can apply for the exam before the last date of application commencement. Candidates who have qualified the written exam and other selection rounds will be appointed as LDC DEO and Postal/Sorting Assistants. Candidates who made it to the written exam will be asked to appear for typing test and skill test by SSC.

Eligibility Criteria for SSC CHSL 2016 Recruitment
Educational qualification
Applicants should have passed 12th standard or equivalent exam from any recognised board or university.
Age limit
Applicant’s age should be between 18 years and 27 years as on 01.01.2017. Upper age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories.
- For SC/SCT: 5 years
- For OBC: 3 years
- For PH: 10 years
- For Physically Handicapped + OBC: 13 years
- For PH + SC/ST: 15 years

Selection process
The selection process includes three rounds i.e., Tier-I, Tier-II, and Tier-III. Tier-I is written exam, Tier II is Descriptive paper and Tier III is typing test/skill test.
Pay scale
- Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants: Rs.5200 to Rs.20200 + Grade pay of Rs.2400/-
- Data Entry Operator: Rs.5200 to Rs 20200 + Grade pay of Rs. 2400/-
- Lower Divisional Clerk: Rs.5200 to Rs 20200 + Grade pay of Rs.1900/-
- Court Clerk: Rs 5200 to Rs 20200 + Grade pay of Rs 1900/-
Application fee
For general candidates the application fee is Rs.100/-. There is no application fee for female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/ disability and Ex-Servicemen categories.
SSC CHSL Exam Syllabus 2016
The subjects included in the exam are:
- English
- General awareness
- General intelligence
- Quantitative aptitude
SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2016
- The paper contains four sections and each section carries 50 marks.
- Each section contains 25 questions each carrying 2 marks.
- The exam duration is 75 minutes.
SSC CHSL Skill Test for DEO
Date entry speed should be 8000 key depressions per hour.
SSC CHSL Typing test for PA/SA LDCs and Court Clerks
- Typing test will be conducted in English or Hindi as per the candidate’s preference.
- English opted students need to type 35 words per minute
- Hindi opted students need to type 30 words per minute
Important dates
- Applications will be accepted from 8th October, 2016
- Last date to submit online applications is 7th November, 2016
- Date of Tier 1 exam is 7th January, 2018 and 5th February, 2017.
- Tier 2 exam date is 9th April, 2017
