Staff Selection Commission is commonly known as SSC. It is one type of organization and it is operated by Government of India. It was established on 4th November 1975 almost 40 years ago.The main duty of the commission is to appoint eligible candidates staff for various posts in various Ministries and department of the govt of India. The headquarter is located in Delhi. It has 7 regional offices they located in Allahabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Chennai, Bangalore. It consists 2 sub-regional offices they situated in Raipur and Chandigarh.

It has released the notification a few months ago for Combined Higher Secondary Examination it has released for the selection of eligible candidates for postal Assistant and data entry operators and lower Divisional clerks in various govt departments on its main portal.
SSC CHSL Exam pattern
SSC Combined Higher Secondary Examination is an objective type written exam. it consists 200 questions and each question consists 1 mark. The exam duration is 2 hours. The paper consists four sections such as reasoning, General Knowledge, English and Quantitative Aptitude. The written test consists negative marking.
SSC CHSL Exam Syllabus
1. General Intelligence and Reasoning: (50 Questions – 50 Marks)
This section will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation ,Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/Number Classification, Drawing inferences ,Figural Classification ,Punched hole/pattern-folding & unfolding , Semantic Series, Figural Pattern – folding and completion, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Coding and decoding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.
2. English Language: (50 Questions – 50 Marks)
SSC CHSL Syllabus for English language section consists of Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting Mist-spell words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Close Passage, Comprehension Passage.

4. Quantitative Aptitude: (50 Questions – 50 Marks)
