SSC CPO Syllabus SSC SI ASI Paper 1 2 Exam Pattern 2018 Download: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) every year recruits merit candidates for various posts. This year also, it has invited application for 1223 posts of sub-inspectors in Delhi, CAPFs and Assistant sub-inspector in CISF. The exam will be held in two papers i.e., Paper I and Paper II. Paper I is scheduled to be held on 4th June 2018 to 10th June 2018 while Paper II is scheduled to be held on 1st December 2018. Many candidates have made use of the opportunity and already applied to appear for the exam. The applications were accepted by SSC starting from 3rd March 2018 until 2nd April 2018.
Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Paper I, Physical standard test/physical endurance test, Paper II and Detailed Medical Examination.

Paper-I
General Intelligence and Reasoning:- Aalogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic reasoning etc. The topics are, Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, Semantic Classification, Symbolic/Number, Classification, Figural Classification, Semantic Series, Number Series, Figural Series, Problem Solving, Word Building, Coding & de-coding, Numerical Operations, symbolic Operations, Trends, Space Orientation, Space Visualization, Venn Diagrams, Drawing inferences, Punched hole/pattern-folding & un-folding, Figural Pattern- folding and completion, Indexing Address matching, Date & city matching Classification of centre codes/roll numbers, Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification, Embedded Figures, Critical thinking, Emotional Intelligence, Social Intelligence etc.
General Knowledge & General Awareness:- Questions will be asked to test the general intelligence of the candidates about the news happening around them. The questions will be asked from History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research etc.
Numerical Aptitude:- Whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Square roots, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Partnership Business, Mixture and Allegation, Time and distance, Time & work, Basic algebraic identities of School Algebra and Elementary surds, Graphs of Linear Equations, Triangle and its various kinds of centres, Congruence and similarity of triangles, Circle and its chords, tangents, angles subtended by chords of a circle, common tangents to two or more circles, Triangle, Quadrilaterals, Regular Polygons, Circle, Right Prism, Right Circular Cone, Right Circular Cylinder, Sphere, Hemispheres, Rectangular Parallelepiped, Regular Right Pyramid with triangular or square base, Trigonometric ratio, Degree and Radian Measures, Standard Identities, Complementary angles, Heights and Distances, Histogram, Frequency polygon, Bar diagram & Pie chart.
English Comprehension:- Candidates’ ability in English will be tested in this part.
Paper-II
English Language & Comprehension:- Candidate’s understanding and knowledge of English Language will be tested in this section. Topics include error recognition, filling in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, comprehension etc.
SSC SI ASI Paper 1 Paper 2 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern helps the candidates know the pattern followed by the board to given the paper. Candidates can know the important topics as well as weightage given to each topic through exam pattern. Below is the exam pattern for both paper I and paper II.
- There are two papers in the written exam.
- The questions will be objective multiple choice type.
Paper-I:-
Paper-I is divided into four sections.

- The paper consists of 200 questions; each question carrying one mark making a total of 200 marks.
- Total time duration is 2 Hours.
