Staff selection commission (SSC) conducts the JE (Junior Engineering) recruitment examination to employ engineering graduates in different departments of government. SSC JE 2018 application form will be available in digital format only. No off-line form of registration will be acceptable. The recruitment process involves 2-papers held annually meant for testing candidate’s engineering knowledge and general aptitude. The candidates who have applied for junior engineer post, need to prepare well. SSC JE Exam consists of 2 papers. The first paper consists of objective type questions and second paper consists of descriptive type questions. There is a negative marking of 0.25 on each wrong question.
SSC Junior Engineer Syllabus 2018 (Paper I)
Paper-I Objective Type.
Paper 1 is divided into three sections namely- General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, General Engineering.
General Engineering section will consist of 3 Parts, from which the candidates need to attempt any one part according to the post he/she is applying for:

Part B: Electrical.

In this Section, Candidates can answer the 50 questions. Total marks per this section is 50 marks.

SSC Junior Engineer Syllabus 2018 (Paper II)
As per SSC JE exam pattern, the paper 2 is a conventional type paper to be held in offline mode.
The SSC JE paper 2 will comprise of Part-A General Engineering (Civil & Structural) or Part- B General Engineering (Electrical) or Part-C General Engineering (Mechanical).
The total marks allotted to SSC JE Paper 2 is 300. The total time duration of the test is 3 hours.

About SSC Organisation

SSC JE Examination Pattern 2016
The SSC Junior Engineer 2016 Examination is a written examination that comprises of 2 papers i.e., Paper I and Paper II. The paper I exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) while the Paper II is a Written Examination. SSC has removed the process of Interview from the examination pattern of SSC JE 2016.
SSC JE 2016 Examination Pattern for Paper I
The Paper I of SSC Junior Engineer exam 2016 is a computer based test which consists of objective type questions for a total of 200 marks. The duration for this exam is 2 hours. The exam will have a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
SSC JE Exam Pattern for Paper II
The Paper II of SSC JE 2016 comprises of straight questions which is for a total of 300 marks. The candidates can pick the subject based on their choice. The subjects are as follows:
