Tamil Nadu Police Service Commission which is responsible for conducting state public service exams to recruit candidates to various posts in Tamil Nadu has released the 2019 Assistant Engineer Civil Examination syllabus and pattern. Eligibility criteria for applying
One must have a degree in any branch of engineering or technology from a known university or institution as per All India Council for Technical Education. Secondly, one must have practical experience for at least 3 years in a factory or workshop.
Procedure for examination
The 2019 Assistant Engineer Civil Examination will be in two phases. The first phase is a written round consisting of 2 papers. Paper 1 will test applicants’ knowledge of basic engineering which will consist of 200 questions. The question paper will be of 300 marks and will be set in English. Paper 2 will test the applicant’s aptitude and mental ability and general knowledge which will in total have 100 questions. The question paper will be of 200 marks and the paper will be set in English and Tamil.
The second phase will be an interview with 70 marks.
