Qualification Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be a bachelor degree holder in any stream; Science, Arts, and Commerce. Candidates with a bachelor degree in Engineering Medicine from any recognised University.
• Candidate should pass the Shorthand and Type Writing Examination in English
• Must complete the Office Automation Certified Course in Computer

Age Limit

The minimum age to apply for the posts is 18 years and the maximum age limit is 35 years. There is also an age relaxation for the ST, SC, and OBC category candidates.

There is a selection procedure through which candidates will be selected for the posts. Candidates should pass all the aspects.

Date and Time of the TNPSC Examination

27^th August 2016:

• Candidates who are applying for the post of Personal Assistant (To the Hon’ble Judges), Personal Assistant (to the Registrars) and Personal Clerk (Deputy Registrars) posts has to appear in the General Studies examination on 27^th of August 2016. The time for the examination is 10.00 A.M. to 01.00 P.M

28^th August 2016:

• Candidates applying for the Computer Operator, Typist, Reader / Examiner, Cashier, and Xerox Operator can apply for the Paper 1 (General Studies, General English, and General Tamil) examination on 28^th of August 2016. Exam will start from 00 A.M. to 01.00 P.M
• Candidates who are applying for the computer operator posts has to appear in the paper 2 (computer applications) examination to be held on the same date, i.e. 28^th of August 2016. The examination will start at 2.30 P.M. and will end at 4.00 P.M.

Examination Pattern

Written Examination Scheme for the Post of Personal Assistant (To the Hon’ble Judges), Personal Assistant (to the Registrars) and Personal Clerk (Deputy Registrars)

• For General Studies and Aptitude and Mental Ability Test and Oral Test: 340 Marks and time duration is 3 Hours. The minimum qualifying mark is 102. (Oral Test – 40 Marks)

Written Examination Scheme for the Post of Computer Operator

• Paper 1: General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability Test, General Tamil and General English: Total Marks 300 and time duration is 3 Hours. The minimum qualifying mark is 90.
• Paper 2: Computer Application: 100 Marks. The duration 90 minutes. The minimum qualifying mark is 30.

Written Examination Scheme for the Post of Typist, Reader/Examiner, Cashier and Xerox Operator

• General Studies, Aptitude and Mental Ability Test, General Tamil and General English: Total 300 Marks; Time Duration: 3 Hours; Minimum Qualifying Marks.

Important Points to Remember

• During the examination use only blue or black ball pen
• Don’t use pencil
• Don’t make any mistake or overwrite in the answer sheet, it will be cancelled
• 1 Mark will be deducted per incorrect information
