TS TET 2016 Syllabus, Test Pattern And Previous Year Question Papers
The TS TET exam has been scheduled to take place on 24th January, 2016, and online registration will start from 2nd December, 2015. We notified you through our previous post about the job details and other important things about TS TET 2016, so it will be no wonder that you have gone through all other details regarding number of vacancies, and district wise vacancies in detail. I think you are aware about the dates, so let us quickly move into the detailed analysis of how this years’ TET exam is going to be. Once you read the syllabus, and pattern, I bet it will be very easy for you to prepare for the exam in a more convenient way. So, are you ready? Well, here it comes.
Exam Pattern Of TS TET 2016
- There will be two papers one for those who wishes to become teachers from Class 1 to Class 5( Paper-1), and the other for those candidates who desires to teach students from Class 6 to Class 8( Paper-2). Both the papers consists of almost similar subjects. But Paper-2 has a bit tough and standard questions than paper-1.
- Important Note: Candidates interested in teaching students from Class-1 to Class-8 have to appear for both Paper-1 and Paper-2.
- Both the papers will be consisting of Multiple choice questions, and most importantly there will be no negative marking.
- A positive answer will give you +1 Mark. So, suggestion will be to mark as many correct answers as possible, and don’t leave any question.
- Total Number Of questions is 150, and the exam will be conducted for 150 minutes. So, try to utilize each and every bit of time effectively.
Important Note: We don’t insist you to make random guesses, but since there is no negative marking, so it is advisable to at least mark the nearest possible option as per the best of your knowledge. Always try to mark as many correct answers as possible.
Detailed Syllabus Of TS TET 2016 And Subject Wise Analysis
Syllabus And Subject Wise Marks Distribution Of Paper-1:
- Paper-1 of TS TET 2016 Exam consists of the following subjects:
- Child Development And Pedagogy: Based On syllabus of DEd. curriculum, and will be based on basic understanding of the subject.
- Mathematics: Topics of Maths from Class 1 to Class-5 will be asked here( As per Old State Board Syllabus). 24 MCQs will be asked on content, and 6 on pedagogy.
- Environmental Studies: Topics Of Environmental Studies from Class 1 to Class-5( As per Old state Board Syllabus). Total 30 MCQs, out of which 24 will be based on content, and other 6 will be on pedagogy.
- Language-1:
- Available Options: Bengali, Hindi, Guajarati, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Odiya and Urdu. You have to choose the language of your choice from these 9 languages.
- Language-2: It is compulsory for all candidates, and the subject here is English, which everyone irrespective of their boards or medium of study has to attempt.
- Note: Candidates applying for giving exam on any of the languages have to make sure that he/she has studied the same either as first language or medium of study at least upto class 10.

- Child Development And Pedagogy:
- Total 30 questions will be asked, and total marks will be 30
- Language-1:
- Total 30 questions will be asked, and total marks will be 30
- Language-2:
- Total 30 questions will be asked, and total marks will be 30
- Environmental Studies:
- Total 30 questions will be asked, and total marks will be 30
- Mathematics:
- Total 30 questions will be asked, and total marks will be 30
- Total Marks:
- 30+30+30+30+30= 150 Marks( No negative Marking)

- Paper-2 of TS TET 2016 Exam consists of the following subjects:
- Child Development And Pedagogy: Based on DEd./ BEd. Curriculum, and will be based on basic understanding of the subject.
- Mathematics: Topics of Maths from Class-6 to Class-8 will be asked here( As per Old State Board Syllabus). 60 MCQs for 60 marks. Difficult Level Questions upto Secondary level.
- Science: Topics of Science from Class-6 to Class-8 will be asked here( As per Old State Board Syllabus). 60 MCQs for 60 marks. Difficult Level Questions upto Secondary level.
- Social Studies: Topics of Social Studies from Class-6 to Class-8 will be asked here( As per Old State Board Syllabus). 60 MCQs for 60 marks. Difficult Level Questions upto Secondary level.
- Language-1:
- Available Options: Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Odiya, Kannada, Tamil, Sanskrit, Marathi. You have the choose the language of your choice from these 8 languages.
- Language-2:
- English For All candidates irrespective of the board in which he/she has studied, and the medium in which he/she has given examination upto class-10.
- Other Subjects:
- For Mathematics And Science Teacher, Mathematics and Science is compulsory here. Science will be consisting of basic knowledge about physics and biology.
- For Social Science/Social Studies’ Teacher, Social Science is compulsory here.
- Note: Candidates preferring for any language under Language-1 has to ensure that he/she has Language Pandit Training Certificate of that specific language.
