Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has issued TET notification recently.  It has invited applications from the aspirants of the state to apply for teacher jobs in government schools.  Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the exam on or before the last date.  Every year UP Basic Education Board conducts Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) to recruit teachers for various government schools in the state.  It recruits teachers for both primary and higher school levels.  It conducts two exams one is paper I for class I to V and paper II for class VI to VIII.

Like every year, this year too the board is all set to conduct TET exam to recruit teachers to fill in vacancies.  We suggest all the interested and eligible candidates to apply for the exam before the last date of application commencement.  No applications will be accepted after the last date ends.  We also would like to advise the applicants to read the official notification before applying for the exam.  This is because the notification will present all the details about the recruitment and exam clearly, which the applicants need to be aware of before applying.  Today we have come up with the details that were covered in the notification like eligibility criteria, application fee, important dates etc. Give a glance!

Eligibility Criteria for UP TET Exam 2016-17

Educational qualification

For Primary Teacher

Applicants should have 2 years diploma degree in D.Ed or BTC training from UP or four years diploma in elementary education from any authorized organization of the state.

For Upper Primary Teacher

Participants should have one-year course certificate in B.EL.ED/BTC or two years course of BTC/CT/NTT.  Candidates should have graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate from any recognized university or board.

Age limit

The applicants minimum and maximum age should satisfy the age criteria set by UP TET conducting board.

Application fee

The application fee is different from category to category.

For OBC and unreserved candidates the application fee is Rs. 400/-.

For SC/ST candidates the application fee is Rs. 200/-

Selection procedure

The selection process is purely based on merit of the candidates shown in the written exam followed by interview.

Important dates

• The last date to register for the UP TET is October 24, 2016
• The last date to deposit fees is October 26, 2016
• The candidates can correct their mistakes online from November 3, 2016
• The last date to correct mistakes is November 7, 2016

• Go visit the official site of UP TET i.e., gov.in.
• In the official site click on the notification and read it thoroughly.
• Now click on the application link and start filling the application form.
• Pay the application fee and submit the application form after rechecking for any mistakes.
• Take a printout for future reference.
