Union Public service Commission has released the CDS II 2020 exam notification on their official website upsc.gov.in for the recruitment in Combined Defence Services (CDS) through courses carried out by IMA, INA, AFA & OTA. The UPSC CDS 2 Exam 2020 will be held on 8th November 2020 in the written mode for the selection of candidates for the SSB interview round. The exam consists of two phases written exam and SSB Interview. The written paper consists of three subjects General Knowledge, English Language, and Elementary Mathematics. All questions are MCQ based. Each carrying 100 marks and the time for each subject paper is 120 minutes.
CDS Exam is organized by UPSC every year. It is an exam for students who aspire to serve the country in armed forces. UPSC has notified that CDS 2019 will be held on Feb 3. CDS exam comprises of two stages-
- Written Exam
- Personality test and Interview
The exam will be organized in offline mode only where candidates have to fill OMR sheets. The paper will be held in both English and Hindi medium with objective questions. The standards of the exam will be of Matriculation level.

Every year, the board conducts various examination for the candidates to get a job in the various department with high pay scale range. The CDS Examination will be held twice a year in the month of February and November.
The CDS Examination is conducted in three phases. The question paper of the UPSC CDS II will contain the general awareness, English, mathematics topics where the each question paper is conducted in duration of 2 hours. Each category of the paper will be conducted for 100 marks in the type of objective type questions. There is a scheme of negative marking in the exam where 1/3rd of the marks assigned to the question are deducted for the wrong answer. No penalty is charged for the unanswered questions. Candidates are requested to start the preparation to get a good score in the examination.
