Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited online application for the Recruitment of Combined Defence Service for providing admission to candidates in Indian Naval Academy, Officers Training Academy, Airforce Academy, and Indian Military Academy. The CDS exam is conducted twice in a year. The students who qualify the written examination will be further called for the selection process. The selection process involves two stages i.e. written test and the SSB Interview. The SSB Interview consists of two tests i.e. Psychological Test and Intelligence Test. These tests are determined to test the mental as well as the physical strength of the candidate.

Eligibility Criteria –
Candidate must be an Indian National.
Age Limit –
- Conditions Should be born not earlier than 02 July 1995 and not after 01 July 1999.
- If your age is below than 25 years then you must be unmarried and you won’t be permitted to get married during the training period.
- Candidates who are married and their age is more than 25 years can apply. Please keep in mind that you won’t be provided any marriage accommodation.
Educational Qualification –
- For Indian Naval Academy-Degree or its equivalent
- For IMA and Officers’ Training Academy-Degree in Engineering or its equivalent
- For Air Force Academy-Degree or its equivalent, Mathematics & Physics should have studied a Bachelor of engineering or 10+2 level.
UPSC CDS 2018: How to Apply – UPSC will make the CDS 1 & CDS 2 Application Form available for the aspirants on 8th November 2017 and 8th August 2018. UPSC CDS II Exam Recruitment 2016
The applications for UPSC CDS II exam 2016 are being accepted by UPSC from 9th November 2016. The last date to submit application forms is 2nd December 2016. Applicants need to satisfy the eligibility criteria to apply for the posts. We have come up with brief information of UPSC CDS II exam notification.
Eligibility Criteria for UPSC CDS II Notification
As per the notification, there are 463 posts available. The posts that are available are Indian Military Academy, Dehradun – 200 Postsexa, Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala – 45 Posts, Air Force Academy, Hyderabad – 32 Posts, Officers Training Academy, Chennai – 175 Posts, Officers Training Academy, Chennai (For Women) – 5 Posts. On selection, candidates will receive a handsome pay band every month. The educational qualification and age limit are different for different posts.
Candidates applying for Indian Military Academy/Officers’ Training Academy/ Indian Naval Academy should hold a degree from a recognized university or equivalent. For Air Force Academy post, candidates should have degree of a recognized University of Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of Engineering. Candidates who are studying in the final year degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply, but need to submit proof of passing the degree examination. Candidates should be physically fit as per the physical standards for admission to the Combined Defence Services Examination.
The age limit of the candidates is again different for different posts. Please refer the official notification to know the exact age limit of each and every post. The selection of the candidates is based on their merit showcased in the written exam. The application fee is 200 for general and OBC candidates and there is no fee for reserved categories.
