Well, Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) is instrumental in releasing recruitment notification throughout the year for recruiting deserving candidates in various posts. And this time its yet again. Yes, and its big too. So, if you want to be a part of India’s most vibrant defence section, then you should apply for this job. Here comes the details of the same.

- Type Of Job: Central Government(Government Of India).
- Name Of Examination: National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Exam (I) 2015
- Name Of Post: Various posts in Army, Navy, National Defence Academy, Air Force And Naval Academy.

UPSC NDA NA 2016 Exam Age And Education
- Age:
- Candidate applying for any of the post mentioned above must be born on or after 2 January 1997 and on or before 1 January 2000.
- Educational Qualification:
- Army Wing(National Defence Academy): Candidate must be passed in class XII or equivalent from a state or central recognized institute
- Air Force and Naval Wing of National Defence Academy and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at Indian Naval Academy: Candidate must be passed in class XII or equivalent from subjects Math and Physics, from a state or central recognized institute.
- Note: Only Unmarried Indian nationals can apply for these posts. No foreign Nationals are allowed to apply for the same.
Selection Process And Examination Centres- UPSC NDA NA (I) Exam 2016
- Selection Process:
- Candidates applying for the above posts must have to undergo two stages of screening process viz. Written Examination and Interview.
- Candidates clearing written examination will be called for interview round, which is the final one.
- However, for Army, Navy Wings & 10 +2 Entry Scheme, candidates has to appear for Intelligence Test & Personality Test. For Air Force Wing, candidates has to attend a Pilot Aptitude Test.
- The whole Interview process will be conducted by Service Selection Board(SSB), and is further sub-divided into various other stages viz. Group discussions, Group planning, Outdoor group tasks and impromptu lectures.
- Selection Stages Of SSB:
- Part-1: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests, Picture Perception, Description Test (PP&DT).
- Part-2: Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and Conference.
- Note: Candidates clearing Part-1 of SSB Selection test will only be allowed to appear for Part-2 screening process.
- Total Marks will be calculated by combining the score from each round, and those who will clear the cut-off marks in each part will be allowed to enter into the next part of selection process.
- Examination Centres:
- UPSC NDA & NA Exam(I) will be conducted across the country, and examination centres are situated in every Indian state.

- Agartala, Ahmedabad, Aizawl, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bareilly, Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cuttack, Dehradun, Delhi, Dharwad, Dispur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jaipur, Jammu, Jorhat, Kochi, Kohima, Kolkata, Lucknow, Madurai, Mumbai, Nagpur, Panaji (Goa), Patna, Port Blair, Raipur, Ranchi, Sambalpur, Shillong, Shimla, Srinagar, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Udaipur, Vishakhapatnam.
- Note: No Change of examination centre is allowed after one time assignment of centres to eligible candidates.
Written Exam Pattern And Application Fee- UPSC NDA NA Examination 2016 :
- Written Examination Pattern:
- Written examination will be conducted for a total of 150 minutes and will be consisting of Objective type questions(MCQ).
- Negative marking will be taken into account for each wrong answer, and question paper will be set only in Hindi and English Language.
- Subjects And Total Marks:
- Mathematics(150 Minutes): Total 300 Marks.
- General Ability Test(150 Minutes): Total 600 Marks.
- Note: Question paper will be prepared in order to test deep knowledge in the subject, and cut-off marks will be set to short-list candidates.
- Application Fee:
- Candidates applying for any of the above mentioned post in UPSC has to pay application fees of Rs.100/-.
- Application fee can be deposited either in Online or Offline Mode. Online Mode of fee depositing can be performed in any of SBI Branches(Using Credit/Debit Card & Net Banking).
- For Offline Fee Payment, take print out of the pay-in-slip generated during part-2 registration process, and pay the requisite amount through challan. However, if you fail to pay the application fees through Challan, then you have to make the payment in Online Mode.
- Note: Reserved Category Candidates(SC/ST/PH/Wards of JCOs, NCOs, OR) need not have to pay any application fees for appearing in the above mentioned recruitment examination.
How to apply for UPSC NDA & NA (I) Online Application Form:
- Move Over to the Official Website upsconline.nic.in and click on “Recruitment” section.
- Select the appropriate option from the list of recruitment advertisements that is displayed in the window.
- Read the official notification carefully before applying.
- Once you are done with reading the notification, then click on Apply Online.
- Part-1 and Part-2 mode of Online Registration is present, and after you complete your Part-2 registration, you have to pay your application fees.
- Pay the appropriate application fees before due date, and save your registration number for future communications.
- Note: It is advisable to save the preview mode of application form for your convenience.
Admit Card And Results- UPSC NDA NA (I) Exam Notification :
- Candidates applying for any of the above posts can download their admit card from upsconline.nic.in whenever it gets rolled out. Also once you complete your written exam, you can get to know your marks from the same website.
