MPSC Clerk / Typist Exam Preparation Tips : Maharashtra Public Service Commission- MPSC has recently issued a recruitment notification to hire suitable personnel for 1435 Clerk- Typist Vacancies. Typing Test :

Typing Speed for Clerk-typist (English) – 40 word per minute

Typing Speed for Clerk-typist (Marathi) – 30 word per minute

MPSC Clerk/ Typist Syllabus and Important Books and Tips :

Marathi :

Topics : Grammar, Simple Sentence structure and use of regular words.

Books to refer : Marathi Vyakaran Sangrah – Pandharinath Rane.

As residents of Maharashtra, the state’s own language Marathi will be easy for applicants. Practice little more Marathi grammar to clear this section.

English :

Topics : Spelling, Grammar, Simple Sentence structure and use of regular words

Books to refer : Grammar Made Easy- M. B. Sawant,

English is the most easiest section among the other sections. Anyone with simple understanding of English grammar, phrases etc can clear this section easily. Also compititors should keep in mind that they can save more time by first attempting the English Section.

Mathematics:

Topics : Addition, Subtraction, multiplication, Division, Percentage, Average Calculating and floating point

Books to refer : Sampurn Ganit – Pandharinath Rane,

Also refer all Mathematics books upto 8th standard. The simple Mathematics topics will be covered in this section. Hence candidates can clear this section with good preparation and understanding on Mathematics.

General Knowledge :

Topics :  Daily events , Regular Experiences,  Religion, Polity, Science and Sports related peoples, History (More questions on Maharashtra History) ,  Geography (More questions on Maharashtra Geography)

Books to Refer : News Papers, History / Geography books until 10th Standard, Fallow Daily News of Maharashtra.

Candidates can go through Daily News, Current affairs from library, current affairs from TV/ Internet to update their knowledge. For History and Geography refer the books upto 10th standard.

Mental Ability :

Books to refer – Buddhimatta Chachni (Mental Ability Test) – Pandharinath Rane

Mental Ability section is desirably given to test the competitors analysis and thinking. Hence with little attention, applicants can clear this section.
