Eligibility Criteria For Vacancy
Educational Qualification: The interested candidates who are making an application be Matric/SSC pass along with full time ITI/Diploma in Engineering in the relevant Trades/ Disciplines with minimum 60% marks in regular ITI / Diploma in Engineering for Gen/OBC-NCL candidates. While, for SC/ST/PWD candidates, the minimum marks must be 50% in all subjects of all semesters/years.
Age Limit: As on August 1, 2018, the age limit for unreserved category is 27 years. The age limit for OBC is 30 years. For SC and ST candidates, the age limit is 32 years old. There is a age relaxation of 10 years for PWD candidates and 5 years for sports persons.
Selection Process: The candidates will be selected on the basis of an Online Computer Based Test followed by certificate verification and medical examination.
Test Pattern: Online Computer Test. It will consist of two segments and candidates must complete it in the duration of 2 hours.
- Segment 1 will have 75 Questions pertaining to General Aptitude (i.e Arithmetic, Reasoning, Data interpretation etc.), General Awareness / General Knowledge and knowledge of English.
- Segment 2 will have 75 Questions pertaining to respective technical subject.
The candidates can attend the test at any place among Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kakinada, Mumbai, Patna, Ranchi, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram.
The recruiting body states that “Candidates who have attended the online test held from May 9 to May 14 need not apply for the posts will be provided Admit Card for attending Online test with previous registration credentials. The list of such attended candidates is available in RINL website.”
Those who have selected for the post will be undergone training for a period of twenty four months. In this period, candidates with ITI qualification must do one year Skill Development Course with certification from National Skill Development Corporation. The period of training may be extended for cases where progress during training is found not satisfactory.
