TNPSC Group 4 Eligibility Criteria 2016
Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has very recently issued notification welcoming applications for TNPSC Group IV 2016. TNPSC is going to fill in 5451 vacancies in various posts like Bill Collector, Draftsmen, Field Surveyor, Junior Assistant, Typist, Steno-typist Grade III with this Group 4 exam. The exam is scheduled to be held on 6th November, 2016. The shortlisted candidates will be appointed into Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial, Tamil Nadu Survey, Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service and Land Records Subordinate Service,. The eligibility criterion has been changed by TNPSC this year. Today we have come up with new and updated eligibility criteria for TNPSC Group 4 exam 2016. TNPSC Group 4 Eligibility Criteria 2016
Age limit
- The age limit of the applicants should be as follows as on 1st July, 2016.
- For applicants who fall into the category of Scheduled caste/Scheduled Caste (Arunthathiyars), Scheduled Tribes and Destitute Widows of all castes, the minimum age limit is set as 18 years and maximum age limit is set as 32 years.
- For most backwards classes/denotified communities/backward classes (Muslims), the minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 30 years.
- For other candidates who fall into the categories of SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs and BCMs, the minimum age limit is set as 18 years and maximum age limit is set as 35 years.
- For the persons who received training in survey from ITI in Tamil Nadu, in respect of posts of Field Surveyor and Draftsman only, the minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational qualification
The common qualification for all the posts is to have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent education from any recognized institute or board.
Technical Qualification
The technical qualification varies for namely four posts i.e., Typist, Steno, Typist and Grade 3 posts.
Technical Qualification for typist
Applicants who are applying for the typist post should have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by Higher Grade in Tamil and English OR by Senior Grade in Tamil and Junior Grade in English or by Senior Grade in English and Junior Grade in Tamil.
Technical Qualification for Steno and Grade III
Applicants who are applying for the Steno, Typist and Grade III posts should have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting and Shorthand by Senior Grade in Tamil and English or by Senior Grade in Tamil and Junior Grade in English or by Higher/Senior Grade in English and Junior Grade in Tamil.
Computer qualification for Typist, Steno, Typist and Grade 3 posts
Applicants who are applying for the Steno, Typist and Grade III posts should have passed ‘Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation’ awarded by Technical Education Department.
So, aspirants who are willing to take TNPSC Group 4 exam 2016 are advised to revise this new eligibility criterion before applying for the exam.
