TNPSC Group 4 Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualification :
Applicants must possess Minimum General Educational Qualification, Must have passed S.S.L.C Public Examination or its equivalent with eligibility for admission to Higher Secondary Courses of studies.
Technical Qualification:
For Typist:
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination in Typewriting by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English
For Steno-Typist, Grade III:
Must have passed the Government Technical Examination both in Typewriting and in Shorthand:
(i) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and English (or)
(ii) by Higher / Senior Grade in Tamil and Lower/ Junior Grade in English (or)
Computer Qualification (for Typist and Steno-Typist, Grade III):
Applicants should have passed the “Certificate Course in Computer on Office Automation” awarded by the Technical Education Department.

TNPSC Group 4 Exam Selection Procedure
TNPSC (Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission) conducts various examinations for recruitment of various posts. All those candidates who are going to appear in TNPSC Group 4 Exam must have detail info about its Selection Procedure & Exam Pattern 2015.
The TNPSC is going to shortlist the eligible personnel for Group 4 vacancies by organizing a written test and interview.
TNPSC Written test:
The TNPSC Group 4 Examination is going to be held for 2 hours. All the questions will be Multiple choice type of questions. That is we have to select one right answer out of 4 options. The papers will be paper1: General Studies, Aptitude Test and General English, paper 2: General Studies, Aptitude Test and General Tamil. So competitors have choice between English and Tamil. Candidates those who cleared the written test will be called for interview.

- The TNPSC written examination has been conducted by TNPSC consists of single paper.
- This exam constitute of General Knowledge (S.S.L.C Standard) & General Tamil / General English (S.S.L.C. Standard).
- The mode of written exam is of objective type contains 200 questions carries (150+150) 300 marks, 3 hours is the time duration for the examination.
- The minimum qualifying marks for selection is 90.
