UPSC ESE Exam Pattern 2016
To give you simple understanding, we can describe the examination in 2 parts; one division is for written examination and second division hold personality examination.
Part – I Written Examination:

The First day is allocated for General ability of 200 marks

UPSC ESE Exam Eligibility Criteria 2016
Age:
The Candidates should have the minimum age of 21 years and maximum 30 years. The purpose of age may be on 1st Aug or as mentioned in the ESE exam notification.
Education Qualification:
The following education requirement is necessary to register for the ESE exam.
- The applicants should have degree in Engineering from a university documented in India or from foreign university which is familiar by the Government of India.
- Passed Graduate Membership examination from the Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers in India.
- The applicants should have approved the Associate ship Membership Exam Part II and III or section A and B of the Aeronautical Society of India.
- Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering.

Step 1: First the candidates go to the official website of UPSC i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
Step 2: Search for the links for Online Application form
Step 3: Choose the exam and continue
Step 4: First, you can click on the Part 1 registration appear in the fresh page. You can click the button of “I agree” then part 1 registration finished.
Step 5: Next, you can click on the Part 2 you can fill the registration number and date of birth to unlock it. Then upload your latest photograph, signature and educational documents.
- A scanned photo of the signature of the candidate. The file dimension of the photograph should be in between 1 KB to 40 KB.
- A scanned photo of the candidate (passport size and coloured). The file size of this photo should be in between 4 KB to 40 KB.
Step 6: Pay the fee before the last date.
Step 7: Submit it and save it for further use.
